Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (Remote) – Educational Analytics Platform

Experienced Ruby on Rails engineer needed to design, build, and maintain features for a machine-learning-powered student performance tracking platform used by 300+ schools. Focus on reliable, scalable backend work that helps identify when students fall below their potential so schools can provide timely support. What you’ll do Design, build, and maintain clean, efficient, reusable Ruby/Rails code Maintain high code quality, organization, and automation Identify bottlenecks/bugs and implement solid solutions Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and data storage (PostgreSQL, Redis/Memcached, etc.) Key requirements Strong Ruby on Rails (5+) experience with deep knowledge of the language (object model, threads/GIL, metaprogramming, built-in modules) Solid TDD/BDD practices and testing stack (RSpec, Capybara, FactoryBot, etc.) Strong Active Record, OOP (SOLID, GRASP/POODR), PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, security, and networking fundamentals Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) Fully remote role.
