# Senior SAP GUI Automation & Data Engineering Expert – Data Lake Validation We are looking for a **Senior SAP GUI Automation / Data Engineering expert** to audit, stress-test, and validate an existing **SAP → Data Lake extraction and ingestion process**. The solution is already developed and includes: * **60+ SAP extractions** * Daily extraction processes * Consolidation processes * Month-end closing processes * Data Lake ingestion * Automated scheduled runs * A pilot designed to replicate approximately **45 days of complete operation** We are **not looking to rebuild the solution**. We need an expert who can challenge the existing implementation, identify weaknesses, fix issues, and provide technical evidence that it is ready for reliable production operation. ## Scope ### 1. Code & SAP extraction audit Review all scripts and identify potential: * SAP GUI automation failures * Session/navigation issues * Timeouts * Memory or concurrency problems * Incomplete or duplicated downloads * Weak error handling * Dependencies that could break after SAP changes ### 2. Production reliability Validate that the processes can run **night after night without manual intervention**, including: * Error handling and retries * Timeout management * Recovery from transient failures * Process monitoring * Failure isolation * Safe restart/recovery without duplicating data ### 3. Data quality & ingestion Validate the complete **SAP → Data Lake** pipeline, including: * Completeness * Duplicates * Missing records * Data types * Dates and periods * Totals and reconciliations * SAP vs. Data Lake consistency * Daily and month-end processes The target is **100% data quality against the defined source universe**, supported by automated controls. ### 4. 45-day stress test We already have a pilot attempting to replicate approximately **45 days of operation**. We need the expert to review, strengthen, and execute the necessary tests to answer one key question: **Is this process truly robust and reliable enough for continuous production operation?** We need **evidence and test results, not just a code review.** ## Expected deliverables * Complete technical audit * Identified and corrected failure points * Stability and stress-test results * Error/recovery validation * SAP → Data Lake data reconciliation * Data quality controls * Validation of daily and month-end processes * Technical documentation * Final report clearly stating: * What was tested * What failed * What was fixed * Remaining risks * Existing controls * Recommendation for production deployment ## Required experience Strong hands-on experience with: * SAP GUI Automation * SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA * Python or similar automation technologies * Data Engineering / Data Lakes * ETL / ELT * Batch processes and scheduling * Error handling, retries and timeouts * Data Quality and reconciliation * Stability / resilience testing **Important:** We are looking for someone who can work directly with the existing code and execution environment, run the tests, identify real failure scenarios, fix them, and demonstrate that the process is production-ready. Please include relevant experience with **SAP GUI automation, large-scale SAP extractions, Data Lakes, and similar production reliability projects**, and briefly explain how you would approach auditing and validating 60+ extraction processes.
