Legendary Solutions is a U.S.-based Salesforce consulting company looking for an experienced Senior Salesforce Business Analyst / Administrator for a long-term remote engagement with the potential to transition into a full-time role. This is not a task-based Salesforce Admin position, and it is not primarily a development role. We are looking for a senior Salesforce professional who can independently manage client relationships, lead discovery and requirements sessions, understand how businesses and sales organizations operate, recommend better solutions, manage multiple projects in parallel, and take ownership of delivery from requirements through deployment and documentation. The right person will become a trusted advisor to our clients, not simply someone who takes requirements and completes tickets. Initial engagement will be through Upwork. Long-term employment may be considered based on performance, mutual fit, business needs, and compliance with applicable Upwork terms. What You Will Do You will work directly with Legendary Solutions leadership, internal delivery resources, and our clients. Your responsibilities will include: * Leading client discovery and requirements meetings. * Building strong, long-term client relationships. * Understanding each client’s business model, sales processes, operational workflows, goals, and pain points. * Asking thoughtful questions to uncover the actual business problem behind a request. * Professionally challenging requirements when a client’s proposed solution may create unnecessary complexity, technical debt, scalability problems, or operational bottlenecks. * Recommending better Salesforce or business-process solutions when appropriate. * Translating business requirements into Salesforce configurations, user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and implementation plans. * Managing multiple Salesforce projects and client priorities simultaneously. * Configuring Salesforce directly rather than simply handing requirements to another resource. * Coordinating with Salesforce developers when custom development is required. * Managing testing, UAT, release readiness, production deployment, and post-deployment validation. * Owning project and solution documentation. * Providing training and knowledge transfer to clients and internal team members. * Identifying project risks early and communicating them proactively. * Mentoring or guiding other Salesforce resources when appropriate. Salesforce Experience Required This is a Salesforce position. Deep Salesforce experience is mandatory. You should have strong hands-on experience with most of the following: * Salesforce Sales Cloud * Service Cloud * Salesforce Flow * Objects, fields, relationships, and record types * Lightning Record Pages and Dynamic Forms * Validation Rules * Formula Fields * Approval Processes * Assignment Rules * Reports and Dashboards * Custom Report Types * Profiles * Permission Sets * Roles and Sharing Rules * Queues * Data imports and migrations * Data quality and deduplication * Security and access management * Sandbox management * Testing and UAT * Salesforce deployments * Release management * Salesforce documentation Experience evaluating or implementing AppExchange applications is valuable but not required. Experience with integrations, APIs, Salesforce DevOps tools, or working alongside Apex/LWC developers is also valuable. Business Analysis & Consulting Experience We specifically need someone who understands that business analysis is not note-taking. You should be comfortable asking questions such as: * What business problem are we actually trying to solve? * Why does the current process work this way? * Who uses this information downstream? * What happens when this exception occurs? * How will this affect reporting? * Does Salesforce need to solve this, or should the business process change? * What happens six months from now if volume increases significantly? * Is there a simpler solution than the one originally requested? We expect our senior consultants to provide recommendations, not simply implement instructions. Strong knowledge of sales operations is particularly important, including concepts such as: * Leads * Accounts and Contacts * Opportunities * Pipeline management * Sales stages * Qualification * Forecasting * Activity management * Lead routing * Sales handoffs * Renewals * Reporting * Sales management Client Relationship Management This is one of the most important parts of the position. We need someone who can represent Legendary Solutions professionally with clients and gradually become someone they trust. That requires: * Excellent spoken and written English. * Strong listening skills. * Professional communication. * Confidence facilitating meetings. * Good judgment. * Reliability. * Responsiveness. * The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. * The ability to respectfully disagree with a client when necessary. * The ability to communicate problems early rather than allowing them to become surprises. We care as much about how you work with clients as we do about your Salesforce knowledge. Leadership Previous leadership experience is strongly preferred. Leadership may include: * Leading client engagements. * Mentoring junior administrators or BAs. * Coordinating developers and QA resources. * Reviewing other people’s work. * Leading releases. * Establishing delivery standards. * Delegating work. * Managing project priorities. * Helping less-experienced team members improve. We value ownership, but ownership does not mean pretending to know everything. Strong consultants know when to investigate independently and when to ask for help. If you don’t know something, we would much rather hear: “I don’t know yet, but I’ll find out.” than receive a confident but incorrect answer. Required Qualifications You should have: * 5+ years of professional Salesforce experience. * 5+ years of customer-facing experience in consulting, implementation, administration, business analysis, or a similar role. * Strong Salesforce Administrator experience. * Strong Salesforce Business Analyst experience. * Demonstrated experience leading client meetings. * Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously. * Experience working directly with business stakeholders. * Strong understanding of how businesses and sales organizations operate. * Experience with Salesforce deployments. * Strong documentation skills. * Excellent English communication skills. * Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment. * Consistent availability during normal U.S. business hours. Working Hours Availability during U.S. business hours is required. You should be able to consistently support meetings and client work during Eastern and/or Pacific Time business hours, including seasonal U.S. daylight-saving-time changes. Please do not apply if you cannot regularly accommodate these hours. Nice to Have Additional consideration will be given for: * Salesforce Administrator certification * Advanced Administrator * Salesforce Business Analyst certification * Platform App Builder * Sales Cloud Consultant * Service Cloud Consultant * Experience Cloud * Revenue Cloud * Data Cloud * Salesforce consulting-partner experience * AppExchange experience * Salesforce DevOps experience * Jira, Azure DevOps, ClickUp, or similar tools * API/integration knowledge * Pre-sales discovery or solution-scoping experience Certifications are valuable, but real consulting ability is more important than collecting certifications. What We Value Legendary Solutions has high expectations for how our team operates. We value: * Ownership * Integrity * Accountability * Curiosity * Professionalism * Excellent client service * Attention to detail * Clear communication * Reliability * Continuous learning * Humility * Resourcefulness * Asking for help when appropriate We are looking for people who make the team and the client relationship stronger because they are part of it. We are Legendary. We are looking for professionals who embody that standard. How to Apply Please do not send a generic proposal. Start your proposal with the words: “I understand this is a consulting role.” Then answer the following questions: 1. How many years have you worked professionally with Salesforce? 2. How many years have you worked directly with external customers or clients? 3. How many separate Salesforce projects or clients have you managed simultaneously? 4. Describe a requirements meeting where you disagreed with the client’s original request. What questions did you ask, and what solution was ultimately implemented? 5. Describe a Salesforce deployment you personally owned from planning through production validation. 6. What documentation do you normally create during a Salesforce implementation? 7. Tell us about someone you have mentored or led. 8. A client asks you to create a new custom object because they believe the standard Salesforce data model cannot support their process. What would you do before agreeing to build it? 9. Which Salesforce certifications do you currently hold? 10. Are you consistently available during U.S. Eastern and Pacific business hours? 11. What is your current hourly rate? 12. Are you interested in a long-term engagement that could potentially evolve into direct full-time employment if there is a strong mutual fit? Please include your LinkedIn profile and public Salesforce Trailblazer profile if available. Generic AI-generated applications that do not directly answer the questions above will not be considered.
