Senior Squarespace SEO + E-Commerce/CRO Expert for Art Brand
Worldwide
’m looking for a senior-level Squarespace expert with strong experience across SEO, e-commerce conversion optimization, and UX to conduct a comprehensive audit of my website and provide a clear, practical roadmap for improvement. I run an established visual art brand with a significant online audience, strong press coverage, an existing Google Knowledge Panel, and an active e-commerce business selling original artwork and fine art prints. My website already performs strongly in search. My name is regularly surfaced among the top recommendations in my specific art niche across traditional search and AI-powered search. Because of that, this is not a basic SEO project. I’m looking for someone who can identify opportunities for substantial improvement while protecting the authority, rankings, and entity recognition I have already built. At the same time, I want to significantly improve the website as an e-commerce experience. I’m looking for someone who can evaluate the site not just as an SEO asset, but as an art brand, portfolio, and online store. Primary Goals SEO, Entity & Search Visibility * Conduct a comprehensive technical and on-page SEO audit. * Strengthen my existing search authority without jeopardizing current rankings. * Help improve the consistency and strength of my Google Knowledge Panel and Knowledge Graph/entity signals. * Strengthen the connections between my website, press coverage, social platforms, artwork, collaborations, and other authoritative sources. * Maximize the likelihood that Google and AI search platforms continue to recognize and recommend me as a leading artist within my niche. * Evaluate how AI search engines and LLM-powered recommendation systems currently understand my brand/entity. * Identify opportunities to improve visibility for relevant non-branded searches as well as searches for my name. * Identify anything technically or structurally confusing or weakening search engines’ understanding of the site. The audit should include areas such as: * Squarespace technical SEO * Google Search Console * Crawlability and indexation * Canonicalization * Site architecture * Internal linking * Page titles and metadata * Heading hierarchy * URL structure * Image SEO * Structured data/schema * Entity SEO * Google Knowledge Graph / Knowledge Panel signals * AI search / generative search visibility * Backlink and authority signals * E-E-A-T / credibility signals * Press and media integration * Content gaps * Search intent and landing-page opportunities * Squarespace-specific SEO limitations and workarounds E-Commerce, UX & Conversion Audit This is equally important to me. I want a comprehensive review of how well the website converts visitors into collectors and customers while maintaining the elevated positioning of an established art brand. I would like recommendations around: * Overall UX and customer journey * Homepage hierarchy and messaging * Navigation and information architecture * Mobile experience * Shop structure * Collection/category pages * Artwork and print product pages * Product discovery * Calls to action * Purchase flow and unnecessary friction * Trust and credibility signals * How pricing, editions, sizes, framing, shipping, etc. are communicated * Opportunities to increase conversion rate * Opportunities to increase average order value * Cross-selling or related-product opportunities where appropriate * Email capture / customer acquisition opportunities * Returning visitor experience * How effectively the site moves social-media and press traffic toward purchasing * Any areas where customers may be confused, overwhelmed, or abandoning the purchase process It is important that the site continue to feel like the website of a serious visual artist and premium art brand rather than a conventional high-volume e-commerce store. I want conversion improvements that support the brand rather than cheapen it. What I Want From the Audit I am initially hiring for strategy and audit work rather than immediately giving someone permission to change the site. The final recommendations should clearly identify: * What is currently working and should not be changed * Critical problems * Highest-impact opportunities * Quick wins * Longer-term opportunities * SEO recommendations * Entity / Knowledge Panel recommendations * AI-search recommendations * UX recommendations * E-commerce / CRO recommendations * Specific recommendations for implementation within Squarespace Recommendations should be prioritized by expected impact and ideally separated into immediate, medium-term, and longer-term actions. I am not looking for an automated SEO report or generic advice like “add keywords” or “write more blog posts.” I want someone capable of looking at the entire ecosystem of the brand and identifying specific changes that could meaningfully improve performance. There may be an opportunity for the same expert to implement approved recommendations afterward as a separate phase. Ideal Candidate Strong candidates will have demonstrated experience in several of the following: * Advanced Squarespace SEO * Technical SEO * SEO audits * Entity SEO / Knowledge Graph optimization * Google Knowledge Panels * Structured data/schema * Google Search Console * SEO for artists, creators, public figures, founders, or personal brands * E-commerce strategy * Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) * UX auditing * Premium or high-consideration e-commerce * AI search / generative search optimization * Websites that already have significant search authority and rankings Experience with visual art, luxury, design, fashion, music, creator brands, or other highly visual premium brands would be especially valuable. When Applying, Please Include 1. Examples of Squarespace websites you have audited or optimized. 2. Examples of measurable SEO or conversion improvements you have produced. 3. Your experience with Google Knowledge Panels, Knowledge Graphs, structured data, or entity SEO. 4. Your experience with e-commerce UX and conversion optimization. 5. Your approach to AI search / LLM visibility. 6. The SEO, crawling, analytics, and CRO tools you typically use, such as Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/Semrush, Hotjar, or Microsoft Clarity. 7. What you would examine first when auditing a website that already performs strongly in search. 8. Whether you can also implement approved recommendations directly in Squarespace after the audit. 9. One example of an important SEO, UX, or conversion issue you identified for a client that another consultant or automated tool had missed. I’m ultimately looking for someone who can understand the website as one interconnected system: art brand, personal brand/entity, search asset, portfolio, and e-commerce business.
