Senior Steel Detailer for Grating Hatch Design

We are looking for a steel designer/detailer or engineer to independently redesign approximately nine galvanized grating access hatches for a transit-station project. We will provide existing reference drawings showing the required operation and interfaces, but the design must be a new, functionally equivalent GSG system—not a traced or copied design. The hatches include press-lock grating covers, hinges, lift-assist hardware, automatic hold-open arms, locking hardware, gussets, stiffeners, and attachments to W8×10, W8×18, and W10×22 support framing. The typical opening is approximately 2'-6" × 3'-2", the cover must open at least 60 degrees—preferably around 90 degrees—and the required lifting force is 40 pounds or less. We need an adjustable standard concept, 3D CAD, approval drawings, fabrication details, BOM/hardware schedules, and revisions after field-measured support steel is received in CAD. Please identify your experience with industrial floor hatches, miscellaneous steel, bar grating, lifting mechanisms, and fabrication drawings, and state whether you can provide engineering calculations or a California PE stamp (not required). Looking for someone who can solve problems with minimal supervision. This will be a fast paced project so availability and flexibility is a must.
