Course.Tours is a Dubai-based education marketplace. We connect students with language schools, creative studios, professional institutes and summer camps across 30+ countries. The platform handles course discovery, booking and payments. 1) Run the migration from Yii 1.1 to Laravel using the strangler pattern: the new system runs alongside the old one on a shared database and takes over routes one at a time, behind a reverse proxy, with rollback available at every step. 2) Design a proper data model for the catalogue, bookings, pricing and school settlements. Today a large share of course attributes is stored as free text, which is why filtering, comparison and structured data do not work. 3) Move public pages to Blade with URLs preserved character for character. Most of our revenue comes from organic search, so every release goes through an SEO checklist before and after. 4) Build student and teacher accounts with Inertia.js and Vue 3 in TypeScript. 5) Add faceted search (Meilisearch via Laravel Scout) and course comparison. 6) Make payments reliable: idempotency keys, raw webhook storage, reconciliation, Tabby instalments and card payments. 7) If you are applying as Team Lead — lead a team of 3–5: task allocation, code review, pairing on critical paths.
