Senior Video Editor – YouTube & Social Media (Remote) Contract | Project-Based | 100% Remote About the Project We are a fast-growing mortgage company based in Miami, FL. We are looking for a talented Senior Video Editor to create high-quality content that grows our YouTube channel and social media presence. This is an ongoing contract opportunity for the right creative partner. What You Will Create YouTube Long-Form (Senior Editor): 2 videos per week for YouTube (10–15 min): business-media style editing with intelligent pacing, retention editing, and educational storytelling Contextual B-roll, clean motion graphics, subtle zooms, and visual reinforcement to maintain watch time without overstimulation Motion graphics, branded intros/outros, and animated lower thirds — clean and authority-focused Short-Form / Social Media (Retention Editor): Vertical content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts: strong hooks, scroll-stopping edits, mobile-first editing, and smart pattern interrupts Modern readable captions, simple and strategic motion graphics, mobile-oriented visual hierarchy Professional audio design and strategic subtitles for accessibility and retention in both formats Required Skills Core skills (both profiles): Adobe Premiere Pro – advanced level (required) Advanced After Effects – clean and modern motion graphics Sound design and professional audio mixing Visual storytelling and independent aesthetic judgment — no template dependency YouTube Long-Form (Senior Editor): YouTube retention editing — pacing, narrative editing, cognitive pacing, and visual hooks B-roll research and contextual integration — educational storytelling that simplifies complex financial topics Organization of long-format projects (10–15 min) and structured asset management Short-Form Retention Editor: Short-form retention editing — hooks, scroll-stopping, vertical pacing, and mobile-first editing Modern readable captions, smart pattern interrupts, mobile-oriented visual hierarchy Experience with Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts — premium business/finance content, NOT generic viral-style editing Bonus Points If You Have Portfolio with financial, educational, or brand content Experience growing YouTube channels from scratch Expertise in subtitle design and visual accessibility Automatic Disqualifiers Ghosting or disappearing mid-project without prior communication Missing deadlines without advance notice or requiring constant supervision Over-editing without strategic purpose — excessive effects, unintentional zooms, chaotic pacing Generic TikTok or MrBeast-style editing — not understanding premium branding or business/finance content Project Details Location: 100% Remote — open to candidates from any country Time zone: availability in EST/CST is ideal for team coordination Engagement: contract per project or hourly, managed and paid through Upwork Timeline: ongoing — ideal for a long-term creative partnership Selection is based on review of your existing portfolio (minimum score to advance: 85/100).
