Senior engineer to own a shipping desktop product — ongoing

Firms in law and finance can't put their documents into ChatGPT or Claude, so they're locked out of modern AI. We fix that: our desktop app redacts confidential documents entirely on the user's own machine, and once a document is clean it goes out to the best frontier models like anything else. Already rolling out at a major law firm, and redaction is the first product of several. This is an ongoing role, not a one-off job. We want one senior engineer to take the product over and lead it: what gets built, how it is built, and eventually the team. The redaction engine is done. The work is the app around it, starting with three things: ● The review screen where a person checks what was redacted before approving it ● Per-profession settings controlling what stays visible and what gets hidden ● Clearer labelling of each redaction, so a reviewer can see what was hidden and why We start with one small paid piece of work, around 40 hours, so both sides find out how this goes before committing further. If it works, it continues and grows. At least four hours a day overlapping Pacific time. TypeScript and React required. Tauri or Rust is a plus, not a requirement. This is interface and product work, not machine learning. Nothing you touch is client material. Everything we hand over is synthetic. Skip the cover letter.
