Shopify Designer & Developer (Build Landing Pages & Websites)

***NO AGENCIES. We're looking for a Front-end Shopify Developer to direct and manage the strategy and execution for our portfolio of e-commerce brands' sites. In this role, you will have full autonomy to strategize, ideate, and build/maintain each brand's store and ecosystem. You'll work in tandem with our Head of Development and each store's strategist proactively identifying problems and proposing solutions. Key Skills & Responsibilities: Develop and maintain custom Shopify and Shopify Plus sites Working knowledge of Shopify functions Working knowledge creating/manipulating JSON Schema Intimate knowledge working with Liquid Working knowledge maintaining/customizing sectioned and non-sectioned themes Proficient with advanced CSS, CSS animations, and media queries Strong Knowledge of Javascript, Jquery Working knowledge of AI tooling: claude, cursor, antigravity, etc Working knowledge of AI workflows and AI automations A detailed eye for creating pixel-perfect, mobile-first UI/UX Experience building highly visual, professionally designed UI/UX's for consumer brands Substantial experience with cross-device responsive web development techniques Research, install, and configure various Shopify apps Working knowledge of building SEO-optimized pages and sites preferred Knowledge of advanced debugging techniques and usage of browser developer tools Actively learn, research, and develop your skills, and help cross-train development team members Proficiency in speeding up Shopify sites through various efforts such as image optimization, code minification, etc Additional Skills: Working knowledge of using git/github and github workflows and Shopify CLI a plus Custom Shopify app development a plus Experience with custom Shopify themes in your portfolio a plus Working knowledge of Figma, both dev and design a plus Working and collaborating with AI tools like Cursor and Claude. How You Work: Proactively identifies site issues, inefficiencies, or opportunities without being prompted Communicates project status, blockers, and timelines clearly and consistently to stakeholders Comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment with minimal hand-holding Gives and receives direct feedback constructively across teams Role Structure & Information: Full-time, salaried position | Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Part-time to full-time available.
