Shopify Developer — Add a Trade / Wholesale Layer to an Established Pet Brand Store
Worldwide
About us Riverside Pet is a UK natural dog treat brand. We manufacture through our factory relationships in EU & Rest of the world and import in container volume. We sell on Amazon UK, TikTok Shop and riversidepet.co.uk. The Shopify store stays transactional D2C. We're adding a trade layer on top of it for buyers ordering by the case and by the pallet. This is not a redesign. Scope 1. Trade landing page and application A credible trade section — capability, volumes, lead times, private label, logistics. Trade application form capturing company name, company reg number, VAT number, trading address, business type, estimated monthly volume and delivery constraints (tail lift, forklift, delivery window). Manual approval, with automated applicant and internal notification emails. 2. Native Shopify B2B, configured but not yet self-serve Set up B2B on Shopify — company accounts, pricing catalogue, quantity rules, case-pack increments, minimum order value. Native B2B, not a third-party wholesale app or a tag-based workaround. Blended store: retail customers see the normal storefront, approved trade accounts see trade pricing ex-VAT. When trade customers place an order they will receive an invoice to which they need to do a bank transfer We will be taking trade orders by draft order initially, so the buyer-facing portal does not need to be live at launch. It needs to be built so we can switch it on without a rebuild. 3. Product pages Tidy, clear, fast. Correct case configuration, EANs, spec, shelf life. Not a design overhaul. 4. Do not break our D2C — non-negotiable We run paid traffic to landing pages built as alternate product templates (e.g. ?view=joint-care-box-2). These stay fully public and unauthenticated, along with the Meta pixel, domain verification and conversion tracking. Any build that puts the store behind a login is an automatic fail. 5. Handover Loom walkthrough plus written docs covering how to approve an account, change the minimum order value, and edit tier pricing. 30 days bug support. Requirements Live examples of Shopify B2B or wholesale builds you've delivered. Native B2B preferred over app-based. Strong Liquid and theme development — not page-builder assembly. UK/EU wholesale, FMCG or food-and-drink experience is a big plus. Understands trade commerce: MOQs, case packs, pallet configs, carriage-paid thresholds, credit terms. We're not looking for the cheapest quote. We're looking for someone who's done this before. To apply Generic proposals get ignored. Include: Two or three live B2B Shopify stores you've built and what you did on each. How you'd gate trade pricing while keeping public product pages indexable and our D2C landing pages open. How you'd enforce a minimum order value alongside case-pack increments, and where you'd surface it to the buyer. Native Shopify B2B or an app — and why. Fixed price, timeline, and availability over the next four weeks. Start your first line with the word PALLET so we know you've read this.
