Shopify Developer (Ongoing, Part-Time) — Boutique Design Studio

Casa Hidalgo is a boutique design studio building Shopify sites for established eCommerce brands - businesses with real revenue whose online presence no longer reflects the quality of what they sell. I'm the founder, and I currently handle strategy, design, and client relationships. I'm looking for a developer to take ownership of the build side so I can step back from execution. What you'll do Build custom Shopify themes from Figma designs Store setup: theme install, apps, payments, shipping, domains, analytics Product architecture - collections, variants, metafields Store migrations and data imports Responsive QA and pre-launch checks What matters to me You build in sections and blocks so clients can edit their own site without a developer Metafields used properly, not content dumped into product descriptions Clean Liquid, not JavaScript patched over structural problems Mobile optimisation You ask questions when a brief is ambiguous instead of guessing Requirements 2+ years hands-on Shopify development Comfortable working from Figma with close attention to spacing and type Based in Latin America (timezone overlap matters) Strong written English, proactive async communication Independent - I'm hiring to reduce my workload, not to project-manage Hours & structure ~40 hours per month, roughly 10 hrs/week on average. Some weeks heavier depending on project phase. Ongoing, with room to grow as the studio takes on more work. Process Short intro call, then a paid test project (up to 5 hours, paid at your rate).
