Shopify Developer with UX/UI Design Expertise

We’re looking for an experienced Shopify Developer with a strong UX/UI design background to help refine and improve an existing Shopify store. Please only apply if you are confident handling **both the development and visual design side** of the project. This is **not just a development role**. We need someone who has a strong eye for design and can take an existing Adobe design/reference and translate it into a polished, professional Shopify experience that looks intentional, premium, and visually consistent. **Scope of work * Refine existing Shopify product pages so they match the supplied Adobe design much more closely * Improve overall spacing, typography, alignment, hierarchy, and visual polish * Improve responsive behaviour across desktop, tablet, and mobile * Refine the mobile header/navigation so it feels cleaner and more balanced * Make product purchase sections feel more premium and easier to use * Remove the Shopify “Default Title” display on products that do not have actual size/variant options * Make custom Shopify/Liquid/CSS adjustments where needed * Review the existing implementation and recommend practical UX improvements where appropriate * Ensure changes are implemented cleanly without negatively affecting existing functionality ### What we’re looking for * Strong experience with **Shopify theme development** * Comfortable working with **Liquid, CSS, HTML, and responsive layouts** * Proven **UX/UI design experience** * Excellent eye for spacing, typography, hierarchy, visual balance, and conversion-focused design * Able to accurately reproduce a supplied design rather than significantly reinterpret it * Experience improving existing Shopify themes rather than only building from templates * Comfortable identifying when custom development is required versus when theme settings can be used * Strong communication and attention to detail ### Portfolio requirement **You must include examples in your portfolio that clearly demonstrate strong visual design and UX/UI skills.** **We are specifically looking for someone who can both develop and design well. If your portfolio does not show polished, high-quality design work, you will not be selected for an interview.** Please include **2–3 examples of Shopify stores or product pages that you personally designed and developed**, ideally showing strong typography, spacing, layout, responsiveness, and overall visual polish. **Important The existing store has already been developed, so this is primarily a refinement and redesign project, not a full Shopify store build.
