Short Form Clipper Editors

The School of Hard Knocks is one of the fastest-growing business media brands in the world, interviewing top entrepreneurs and executives across the country. We’re looking for a full-time Short Form Content Clipper to join our team (40 hours/week, Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm CST). Your role will be to clip down long-form interviews and podcasts into short, high-impact videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. If you love business, have a sharp eye for viral moments, and understand how to stop the scroll — this might be for you. What You’ll Do: Watch and clip engaging moments from long-form interviews and podcasts Craft high-retention short-form videos using strong hooks, pacing, subtitles, and visuals Collaborate with our internal team on feedback, ideation, and improvements Stay on top of trends in business content and short-form video performance Maintain consistent output of daily clips for social media publishing What We’re Looking For: 🧠 Experience & Passion: Previous experience editing short-form video content (required) Passion for business, entrepreneurship, and self-development content Proven portfolio of high-performing Reels, Shorts, or TikToks 💻 Technical Skills: Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (required) Expert-level understanding of pacing, jump cuts, captions, and storytelling Comfortable with B-roll, zooms, memes, and retention tactics Able to work with cloud-based file sharing (Google Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io, etc.) 🎯 Psychology & Strategy: Strong sense of viewer psychology: understands what makes someone stop scrolling Ability to identify great hooks and key moments in a conversation Knows how to make educational content feel entertaining and engaging 📣 Communication & Execution: Fluent English (written and spoken) Comfortable receiving feedback and working collaboratively Highly organized and able to manage multiple video edits each week 🕒 Work Schedule: Full-time: 9am–5pm CST, Monday–Friday Must be available during these hours for communication and turnaround
