Short-Form Video Editor (Paid Trial → Ongoing Daily Volume)
Worldwide
Budget: $75 flat for the paid trial. Ongoing rate discussed after. Commitment: Roughly 30 videos over 30 days, then continuing. The project I'm running a daily series where I build a small AI tool and show what it does. One video per day, every day, under 60 seconds each. I'm hiring an editor to help me lock the visual format for the series. Once the format is right, it repeats daily with minimal creative decisions, so this is stable, predictable, high-volume work for the right person. What you'll get from me per video - A phone-recorded hook, 5 to 8 seconds. Me talking to camera. - A 2 to 3 minute screen recording of the tool being built and demoed. - A separate narration track. That's it. Short source files, no hunting through an hour of footage. Deciding what's worth keeping is your call, not mine. What I need back Under 60 seconds, cut for retention. Specifically: - Punch-ins and zooms on the screen recording so the viewer's eye lands on the right part of the screen - Filler, breaths, and dead air cut out so the pacing stays tight - Captions timed to the beat of the narration, not dumped four lines at a time - Sound design that supports the cut instead of decorating it - Vertical, 9:16, optimized for Instagram - A real problem I want your input on I record on a large, high-resolution monitor. When that footage gets cropped to vertical, the UI and text end up small and hard to read on a phone. Punching in helps but only goes so far before it gets soft. I assume the fix is partly at the recording end, not just in post. If you've solved this before, tell me how you'd want me to record: resolution, capture area, font and UI scaling, window sizing, whether Loom is even the right tool for this. Be specific. This is the single thing I most want to learn from whoever I hire. The trial I'm paying five editors $75 each to cut the same video from the same source files. I'm not looking for the prettiest edit. I'm looking for the editor whose instincts about pacing and emphasis match what the series needs. Whoever we move forward with will help finalize a repeatable template for the series: locked caption style, zoom behavior, transition set, sound palette. You'll be paid separately for that work. Who this is for You've cut short-form for creators or brands and you can point to it. You understand that a screen recording is edited differently from a talking head. You have opinions about pacing and you can explain them. If your process is applying a preset and running auto-captions, this isn't the right fit and the trial will make that obvious quickly.
