Project Name: Ad Showcase TV Experience Purpose: An interactive Smart TV application built for a live marketer showcase event. The app allows event attendees and marketers to explore 5 distinct ad formats through a TV remote control and preview high-definition demo videos of each ad format in action. Target Audience: Marketers, agency leads, and advertisers attending the showcase event. Key Goal: Deliver a slick, responsive experience showcasing advertising formats effortlessly. 2. Platform & Technical Specifications Target Environment: [e.g., Web Application running in Fullscreen WebOS / Android TV / Apple TV] Resolution: 1920x1080 (Full HD) / 3840x2160 (4K UHD) — 16:9 Aspect Ratio Primary Input Method: TV Remote Control / D-Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right, Select/OK, Back) Note: The app must fully support standard TV remote keycodes (or keyboard arrow keys: ArrowUp, ArrowDown, ArrowLeft, ArrowRight, Enter, Backspace/Escape for testing). 3. Core Features & Functional Requirements A. Landing / Showcase Home Screen Layout: A grid presenting 5 Ad Formats Focus Management (Crucial): Clear visual highlighting (glow, scale-up, or outline border) for the currently selected ad option as the user moves through the menu. Default focus starts on the 1st ad format upon launch. Smooth D-pad navigation across all 5 cards without dead ends or lost focus. B. Ad Detail & Video Player Screen Trigger: Pressing OK / Select on a selected ad format card. Behavior: Opens a dedicated preview view or triggers a video modal overlay. Displays an introductory brief/title of the ad format (1–2 sentences) alongside a video preview. Plays the corresponding high-definition demo video (provided asset). Video Controls: Auto-Play: Video begins immediately upon selection. Playback Actions: Allow OK to Pause/Resume, or display on-screen indicators (Replay, Back). Video End: Once the demo video finishes, offer an option to play the next video or automatically prompt the user back to the main grid. C. Event / Kiosk Features (Mandatory) Idle Timeout / Auto-Reset: If no remote input is detected, the app must automatically stop any active video and reset to the default Home Screen (ready for the next event visitor). Back Button Handling: Pressing Back at any point during video playback immediately stops the video and returns the user to the main menu with focus on the last selected card. Loop / Kiosk Mode: App should run continuously without unexpected exits, popups, or external browser chrome.
