SketchUp Production + Architectural Visualization Partner | Residential Projects

We are a Texas-based architecture and interior design firm seeking an experienced SketchUp modeler/architectural visualization professional or small visualization team for an upcoming multi-project residential opportunity. The anticipated scope includes approximately six residential projects in Austin. Architectural plans, elevations, specifications, and initial finish selections have already been developed. CAD/DWG files are expected to be available for modeling. Our internal architecture and interior design team will provide design direction, finish/material selections, and architectural oversight. We are looking for a production partner who can accurately translate the existing architectural documents into SketchUp models and potentially carry those models through final photorealistic visualization. At this stage, we are evaluating potential partners, capabilities, schedules, and pricing for the anticipated work. Anticipated Scope: For each residential project, services may include: SketchUp Modeling - Review provided architectural PDFs and DWG/CAD files - Import and organize CAD files for efficient modeling - Create an accurate, editable SketchUp model based on the architectural documents - Coordinate floor plans, exterior elevations, sections, roof plans, door/window information, and other relevant drawings - Model exterior architectural geometry required for visualization - Model interior architectural elements required for selected rendering views - Maintain clean and organized SketchUp files using appropriate groups, components, and tags - Provide the native editable .SKP file We do not need unnecessary areas modeled to a high level of detail if they will not appear in the final visualization. Approved rendering views will be identified so modeling effort can be focused efficiently. Architectural Model Review: Before materials and final visualization begin, we anticipate a clay/white-model review milestone. Our architect will review the model against the provided architectural documents and provide consolidated comments. Any discrepancies should be corrected before visualization proceeds. Architectural accuracy is extremely important. This is not a conceptual design assignment, and the existing architecture should not be independently redesigned or visually approximated. If information in the documents is unclear or conflicting, we expect it to be flagged for clarification rather than assumed. Photorealistic Visualization: We are particularly interested in candidates who can also take the approved SketchUp model through final visualization. This may include: - Application of specified interior and exterior materials - Cabinetry and millwork visible within selected views - Lighting and plumbing fixtures - FF&E based on our design direction - Landscaping and exterior environment - Material texturing and lighting - Camera setup - Draft renderings - Consolidated revisions - Final high-resolution photorealistic renderings suitable for marketing and client presentations For pricing purposes, please assume an initial allowance of approximately: - 1 exterior hero rendering per project - 2 interior hero renderings per project Please provide separate pricing for additional views. What Our Team Will Provide: Our team will retain responsibility for: - Architectural oversight - Design enhancement recommendations - Interior design direction - Exterior design/material direction - Finish and material selections - Client coordination - Final design and architectural approval The selected visualization partner would function as an extension of our production team. Ideal Experience: We are looking for an individual or small team with demonstrated experience in: - Professional SketchUp modeling - Residential architecture - Building accurate models from DWG/CAD files - Reading architectural construction documents - Coordinating plans, elevations, sections, roof plans, and schedules - Architectural visualization - Photorealistic interior and exterior rendering - Producing clean, organized, editable SketchUp files Experience working from U.S. architectural construction documents is strongly preferred. Individual freelancers and small visualization studios are both welcome. Please Include With Your Proposal: 1. Your primary modeling and rendering software. 4. Whether you work individually or as part of a team. 5. Confirmation that native, editable .SKP files can be provided. 6. Your typical turnaround time for modeling and visualization of a residential project of this scale. 7. Your estimated fixed fee for: - SketchUp modeling only - SketchUp modeling + 1 exterior rendering - SketchUp modeling + 1 exterior and 2 interior renderings 8. Your fee for each additional interior or exterior rendering. 9. The number of revision rounds included in your pricing. 10. Any package pricing you would offer if approximately six projects are awarded together. 11. What information or files you would need from our team to provide the most efficient workflow and accurate pricing.
