# WordPress / PHP Developer – Website Development, Maintenance & eCommerce **Company:** Offsite Management Systems LLC (OMS) **Location:** Dallas, Texas, USA **Engagement:** Freelance / Long-Term Contract **Work Arrangement:** Remote ## About OMS Offsite Management Systems LLC (OMS) is a US-based company providing specialized solutions, consulting, digital tools, and eLearning services for the downstream refining industry. We operate and continue to develop multiple OMS websites and web-based platforms. We are looking for an experienced **WordPress/PHP Developer** who can support, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance these websites on an ongoing basis. This is not just a one-time website-building assignment. We are interested in developing a **long-term working relationship with a dependable developer** who can understand our existing systems and progressively improve them. ## Scope of Work The selected developer will work on existing and new OMS websites, including: * WordPress website development and maintenance * PHP development and customization * eCommerce functionality * WooCommerce configuration and customization * Payment gateway integration * User registration, login, and account management * Custom WordPress themes and child themes * Plugin installation, configuration, modification, and troubleshooting * Custom PHP functionality * MySQL/database integration * Forms and database-driven applications * API and third-party service integration * Website performance optimization * Responsive/mobile-friendly design * Website security and backup management * Debugging and resolution of PHP, WordPress, plugin, and database issues * Migration between development, staging, and production environments ## eCommerce Experience Strong practical experience with **WordPress eCommerce/WooCommerce** is important. The developer should be comfortable working with: * Product and service sales * Checkout workflows * Payment gateways * Coupons and promotional pricing * Customer accounts * Order management * Email notifications * Subscription or recurring-payment functionality where required * Integration between eCommerce and other OMS systems Experience with selling **digital products, online courses, memberships, or professional services** will be particularly valuable. ## eLearning Integration OMS operates an eLearning Academy, so experience with WordPress-based Learning Management Systems is an advantage. Experience with **LearnDash** or similar LMS platforms would be highly desirable, particularly involving: * Course access * User enrollment * WooCommerce/LMS integration * Membership management * Student dashboards * Payment-to-enrollment workflows ## Required Technical Skills We are looking for demonstrated experience with: **Core Skills** * WordPress * PHP * MySQL * HTML5 * CSS3 * JavaScript * WooCommerce **Preferred Additional Skills** * LearnDash * REST APIs * AJAX * jQuery * Git/GitHub * cPanel/hosting management * Linux/VPS environments * Website migration and deployment * Website security and performance optimization Knowledge of **Python, PostgreSQL, or Integration with external business applications** would be an additional advantage. ## What We Are Looking For We value a developer who: * Has strong troubleshooting and debugging skills * Can work with existing code rather than always rebuilding from scratch * Writes clean and maintainable code * Understands the importance of backups and testing before production changes * Communicates clearly about problems, solutions, and estimated effort * Can work independently * Documents important modifications * Is dependable and responsive * Is interested in a long-term professional relationship Our preference is for someone who can become familiar with the OMS web environment and serve as a **reliable technical resource across multiple websites and projects**. ## Important: Existing Websites Much of the work will involve **existing WordPress/PHP websites**, not greenfield development.
