About Jipange Na Kura Jipange Na Kura is a Kenyan civic technology platform preparing citizens for the 2027 General Election. We help Kenyans understand their ballot, discover candidates and political parties, understand the roles of elected positions, and access useful civic and electoral information. We are looking for a creative Social Media Content Creator who can help us turn this information into engaging, relatable and shareable content for young Kenyans. Website: https://jipangenakura.co.ke/ What you'll be doing You will create social-media content around Kenya's 2027 election and civic participation, with a strong focus on making complicated information simple, interesting and relevant. Content may include: Short-form videos/Reels/TikToks Instagram and Facebook content X/Twitter content Educational carousels Explainer videos Election-related trends and reactive content “Did you know?” civic content Candidate/position explainers County and ward-focused content Youth-focused civic content Voter education Content explaining the six elective positions “Know Your Ward / Know Your MCA” style content Campaigns designed to drive people to Jipange Na Kura We are looking for someone who can think beyond templates We don't want someone who simply takes information and turns it into generic Canva posts. We want a creator who can say: “How do we turn this civic information into something a 22-year-old Kenyan will actually stop scrolling to watch?” You should be comfortable developing: Hook → Story → Information → Engagement → Call to action For example: “You know who you're voting for as President. But do you know who you're voting for as MCA?” or “There are 6 elective positions on your ballot. Can you name all six?” The goal is to make civic education feel interesting, modern and culturally relevant. Important Jipange Na Kura is non-partisan. The content must inform and engage citizens without campaigning for or against a political party, candidate or political position. Accuracy is extremely important. Political and electoral information must be properly researched and verified before publication. What we expect from you We are looking for someone who can help us develop a consistent content strategy, not just produce individual posts.
