Summary

About Women Work Well® Women Work Well® is a social impact business dedicated to increasing the professional growth and economic mobility of U.S. women. Our founder, Dr. Desiree Coleman-Fry, is a TEDx speaker, bestselling author, and C-suite executive featured in the New York Times, Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, and Ebony. Our content carries real weight and we need someone who can match the excellence we strive to deliver. THE OPPORTUNITY I'm looking for a resourceful, detail-oriented, creative freelancer to help produce engaging content for our social media channels across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube. This is not a post-and-schedule role. You will own the production, drive 60% of the ideas, and collaborate with me on the rest. If you're the kind of person who watches a 3-minute speaking clip and immediately sees four different content assets — keep reading. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Transform raw material (clips, voice notes, draft ideas, Substack posts, speaking footage) into publish-ready captions, scripts, and copy that reflect the founder's voice (not generic or AI-sounding). Captions and scripts will be reviewed and lightly edited by the founder before publishing. * Edit and produce short-form videos for Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts; suggest voiceover scripts where needed * Adapt every piece of content natively for each platform — the right format, length, hook, and tone for LinkedIn vs. TikTok vs. YouTube are not the same * Repurpose one raw input into multiple assets: a speaking clip becomes a Reel, a LinkedIn carousel, a quote graphic, and an X thread * Build and maintain a monthly content calendar with themes, asset types, and publishing schedule * Mine the Substack archive, past keynotes, and research findings for evergreen content * Schedule and publish all content on time * Deliver a simple weekly snapshot: what posted, what performed, what to repeat * Flag content driving discovery call traffic or speaking inquiries * Monitor comments and DMs; respond to routine engagement in the founder's voice and flag anything needing her personal attention * Identify warm leads or speaking inquiries surfacing through social and route them to our CRM HOW IT WOULD WORK: Each week, you'll bring ideas to the table — content angles, trending formats, repurposing opportunities you spotted. I'll share raw material on my end. We connect briefly once a week to align on priorities and review the upcoming calendar. From there, you own production and delivery. I review and approve before anything goes live, but I'm not managing your process — you are. I will always send outreach and respond to relationships personally. Your job is to keep the content pipeline full, consistent, and high quality. WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR The non-negotiable is short-form video. You need to be able to take raw, unedited footage and turn it into something people actually watch. Beyond that these skills are needed: * Proven experience editing short-form video for Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts — with a portfolio to show it * Ability to write in someone else's voice with precision — your captions should sound like me, not like you summarized me * Multi-platform fluency — you understand natively how content performs differently across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and YouTube * Strong content instincts — you pitch ideas, not just execute them * Reliable and organized — you own a calendar and hit deadlines without being chased * Familiarity with Buffer, Later, or equivalent scheduling tools * Experience with Canva or similar for graphics (bonus, not required) * Background in mission-driven, social impact, or personal brand content is a strong plus TO APPLY: Submit a proposal that includes: * 2–3 examples of short-form video content you've produced (links preferred) * One example of content you wrote in a founder's or executive's voice — caption, script, or post * Your responses to all three screening questions below — applications without all three will not be reviewed
