Social Media Video Editor + Strategist — Hourly, Long-Term Freelance We’re a U.S.-based creative agency looking for a talented Social Media Video Editor + Strategist to join our team as a long-term hourly freelancer. We’re looking for a “perma-lancer”—someone who wants consistent weekly work, becomes part of our creative team, and has the opportunity to grow into a full-time position. We create commercial ads, social media campaigns, and brand content for businesses across the United States. This isn’t just an editing role. We’re looking for someone who understands storytelling, audience retention, and social media strategy—someone who can help shape content that performs, not just assemble clips. The Position * Hourly freelance position (20-30 hours a week) * Monday–Friday availability preferred * Long-term relationship * Opportunity to transition into a full-time role * Ability to work in Pacific Time Zone What You’ll Do * Edit short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn * Turn long-form content into engaging short-form clips * Help develop hooks, pacing, captions, and storytelling that improve viewer retention * Recommend edits based on current social media trends and platform best practices * Create thumbnails and supporting social graphics when needed * Organize project files and assets * Deliver polished content on schedule * Collaborate with our creative team and contribute ideas that improve content performance * Always contributing to submitting trends they notice and knowing what works and what doesn't on social media. Requirements * Strong Adobe Premiere Pro skills * Adobe Photoshop * Strong understanding of social media platforms and what drives engagement * Excellent storytelling and pacing * Good English communication * Reliable high-speed internet * Computer capable of editing 4K footage * Strong attention to detail * Ability to receive feedback and iterate quickly Bonus Skills * Adobe After Effects * DaVinci Resolve * Adobe Illustrator * Motion graphics * Sound design * AI creative tools * Experience managing or growing social media accounts * Experience editing commercials or paid advertising To Apply Please send: 1.
