Social Media & Email Marketing Specialist (Monthly Retainer) About the Role We are seeking a skilled freelance Social Media and Content Marketer to enhance the online presence and drive enrollment for our security, law enforcement, and first responder training classes. This is an ongoing monthly engagement centered on delivering 8 social media posts per month across Instagram and Facebook, along with 1 monthly email newsletter/campaign through Constant Contact. The ideal candidate has proven experience in content creation (graphic design, carousels, and short-form video editing), email copywriting, and marketing tailored to our niche, professional audience. Scope of Work & Deliverables (Monthly) Social Media Management (8 Posts/Month) Content Creation: Create a balanced mix of static graphics, multi-slide carousels, and edited short-form videos (Reels/Shorts). Copywriting & Optimization: Write compelling captions with targeted, relevant hashtags for each post. Content Calendar: Maintain a monthly content calendar for review and approval prior to publishing. Scheduling & Publishing: Handle full cross-posting and scheduling across Instagram and Facebook. Performance Tracking: Provide a basic monthly performance review highlighting key engagement metrics and reach. Email Marketing (1 Campaign/Month) Email Creation & Copywriting: Write, design, and assemble 1 monthly email newsletter/campaign (e.g., upcoming training schedule, student highlights, course spotlights, or industry tips). Setup & Sending: Build, test, and schedule the campaign in our email marketing platform (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, ActiveCampaign). Requirements & Qualifications Proven experience managing social media accounts and email campaigns. Strong graphic design skills and experience editing engaging short-form video. Proficiency with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite) and email marketing platform (Constant Contact). Ability to translate technical training concepts into clear, engaging content for professionals.
