Summary

I am looking for a talented graphic designer / social media content designer to help me create a polished, modern, eye-catching visual identity and content system for a mission-focused social media account. I already have several concepts and examples of the direction I like, but I am specifically looking for someone with a strong creative eye who can improve on my ideas rather than simply copy what I give them. The goal is for the account to look extremely professional and immediately catch someone’s attention when they visit the profile — something that feels more like a professionally branded influencer or major company account than a basic social media page. Think: clean • modern • premium • memorable • highly aesthetic • easy to recognize I like the level of simplicity and polish seen in brands like Apple, while still having enough personality and color that the account feels exciting and engaging. About the Account The page is an unofficial mission community/scrapbook page designed for people connected to a specific mission, including: * Current missionaries * Returned missionaries * Future missionaries * Missionary families * Local members * Converts and friends * Anyone with a connection to the mission The account will share mission stories, memories, photos, areas/cities, food, culture, missionary experiences, giveaways, community submissions, and other mission-related content. I want visitors to immediately think: “I served there.” “My missionary is there.” “I know someone there.” “I need to follow this page.” ⸻ Main Design Project I want help developing a reusable master design system that can later be adapted to many different mission accounts. The layouts should stay relatively consistent, while things such as the: mission name • logo/profile picture • country colors • accent colors • photos • language can change. For example, a mission in Brazil may use colors inspired by Brazil, while another country’s account would use colors from that country’s flag. I am currently leaning toward a black or very dark background with vibrant country-specific accent colors, but I want the designer’s opinion on what will look best. ⸻ 3-Post Pinned Banner One of the most important parts of the project is designing three pinned posts that visually work together as one banner across the profile grid. Each of these three posts will also open into its own carousel. Pinned Post 1 — DISCOVER This post should answer: “What is this page?” Possible topics include: * Welcome to the mission * What the community/page is * What people will find here * Mission stories * Areas and cities * Food and culture * Memories * Why someone should follow * How to explore the page I already have ideas for this content, but I want your professional opinion on what information should actually be included and how it should be organized for the best engagement. Pinned Post 2 — BELONG This post should answer: “Who is this community for?” Possible groups include: * Current missionaries * Returned missionaries * Future missionaries * Families * Local members * Converts * Friends * Mission alumni The goal is for someone to swipe through the carousel and recognize: “This page is for me.” I want help deciding how much information should be included, what should be removed, and how this carousel can create an emotional connection without becoming too text-heavy. Pinned Post 3 — PARTICIPATE This post should answer: “How can I be part of this?” Possible topics include: * Submit photos * Submit stories * Get featured * Nominate someone * Missionary takeovers * Giveaways * Polls/questions * Suggest content * Mission merchandise * Missionary mail * Other ways to participate Again, I want your input as a social media creator on what would actually encourage people to interact with the page. ⸻ Additional Post Templates I also want to create a set of reusable templates for normal content that can be posted after the account launches. Some ideas I currently have include: Missionary Spotlight Feature a current or returned missionary. Possible information: * Name * Years served * Favorite area * Favorite companion memory * Favorite food * Favorite scripture * Advice * Photos Mission Food Highlight food from the mission/country. Area / City Spotlight Show different cities, neighborhoods, areas, or landmarks within the mission. Mission Stories Funny stories, spiritual experiences, meaningful memories, etc. Mission Yearbook / Throwback Older missionary photos and memories from different years. Mission Call Someone announcing that they were called to the mission. Homecoming Missionaries returning home. Companion Spotlight Local Member Story Convert Story “Where Are They Now?” Returned missionary updates. Mission Tips & Advice Advice for future/current missionaries. Culture & Language Giveaways Q&A / Polls Missionary Takeovers I do not necessarily need a completely different design for every category. I want your help deciding which templates we actually need and how we can create a cohesive system where everything clearly belongs to the same brand. ⸻ I Want Your Creative Input This part is very important. I am not simply hiring someone to execute my exact instructions. I want someone who can look at my concepts and tell me things like: * What would make the profile look more professional? * What should be on the three pinned posts? * What information should be removed? * What information is missing? * What content would increase follows? * What content would encourage submissions? * What types of posts would people actually share? * What would make returned missionaries engage? * What would appeal to missionary families? * What would make the account feel current rather than outdated? * How should the feed visually look? * How much text should be on each graphic? * What design style would perform best? * How should photography and graphics be combined? * What additional content categories should we create? I want someone who understands social media behavior, branding, and visual storytelling, not only Canva. ⸻ Visual Direction I will provide several reference images and concepts. Some elements I like include: * Strong typography * Dark/black backgrounds * Bright accent colors * Colors inspired by the country’s flag * Clean layouts * High contrast * Modern icons * Subtle textures / particles / light effects * Connected 3-post banners * Large mission logo/profile image * Very polished presentation * Photography mixed with graphic design * Easy-to-read mobile layouts However, I am completely open to a better creative direction if you have one. I especially want the design to avoid looking like a generic church flyer or an outdated Facebook graphic. It should feel modern, premium and social-first. ⸻ Deliverables For this $50 fixed-price project, I would like help creating the master visual direction and reusable template system, including: * Overall account visual style * 3 connected pinned banner covers * Carousel design system for the 3 pinned posts * Recommendations for carousel content/order * Several reusable post template styles * Recommendations for additional content * Font/color/icon/layout guidance * Editable source files, preferably Canva * A system that can later be duplicated and customized for other missions I am not asking you to manually create hundreds of mission accounts for $50. This project is about creating the master design system that can later be replicated. ⸻ When Applying Please begin your proposal with: MISSION BRAND I would also love to see: 1. Examples of social media accounts or graphics you have designed. 2. Examples of Instagram/Facebook branding, carousel design, or influencer-style content. 3. A short explanation of how you would approach this project. 4. 2–3 ideas you would personally recommend for improving the account or increasing engagement. 5. What design direction you think would make this account feel premium and modern. An optional quick rough concept/sketch is welcome. Budget $50 fixed price I am primarily looking for someone with a great creative eye who can help establish the visual identity, templates, and content direction for the account.
