Social Media Manager / Content Creator – Japanese Sushi Catering Brand (NYC) About Us: Osakana is a sushi catering company based in New York City, part of Manpuku USA Inc. We're looking for an experienced, professional social media manager to grow our Instagram presence with a consistent, high-quality content operation. What We're Looking For: Proven experience managing social media accounts for a food/beverage or hospitality brand (portfolio/examples required) Strong skills in short-form video content creation (filming + editing) for TikTok and Instagram Reels Experience growing follower count and engagement — please share metrics/results from past work Ability to work as a dedicated, ongoing partner (not one-off gigs) — we're looking for a consistent monthly operation, similar to a consulting/retainer arrangement Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight Bilingual (English/Japanese) a plus, but not required Work Format: This is an on-site + independent hybrid role. Filming will take place at our NYC location(s) (Osakana East Village and other sites as needed) approximately 1–2 times/week, schedule to be coordinated — this is not a fully remote position. Editing, scheduling, and community management (comments/DMs) can be done remotely. Responsibilities: Plan, film, and edit approximately 10–12 short-form videos per month (TikTok, Instagram Reels) Provide a monthly content calendar in advance Manage posting schedule Engage with comments and DMs Act as a dedicated point of contact (not an agency with rotating staff) Provide monthly performance/analytics reports Budget: We're looking for an ongoing monthly retainer arrangement in the $2,500–3,000/month range, based on experience and scope, with potential for additional performance-based commission depending on results achieved.
