Social Media Strategist and Creator — Technical B2B (Energy / Data Centers)

Posted 4 weeks ago

Worldwide

Summary

We are an energy infrastructure developer building large-scale energy campuses for power-intensive industries. Our work sits at the point where digital infrastructure runs into the limits of the grid: interconnection queues, generation capacity, long-lead equipment, and the question of who can actually deliver power on a date. We are looking for a freelance social media strategist and creator to build and run an ongoing content program on data center development and powered land. What the engagement covers Strategy. An audit of where this conversation is happening, a channel strategy, a mapping of audience segments to content, voice and format guidelines, and a measurement framework tied to pipeline signals rather than follower counts. Calendar. A rolling 90-day editorial calendar maintained in Notion, refreshed monthly, with post-level detail and a reactive lane for market and regulatory news. Creation. Post copy, static graphics and carousels, ghostwritten posts for named executives, and repurposing of long-form pieces into social sequences. Content pillars All content maps to one of four: The Power Imperative — load growth, queue congestion, capacity scarcity, the cost of being late to power The Craft of Delivery — sequencing, long-lead procurement, interconnection, why projects slip Energy + Community By Design — siting, land use, workforce, regional economics of large-load development The Future of Energy — generation mix, behind-the-meter and co-location structures, grid architecture, regulatory direction Who this is right for Our audience is hyperscale capacity owners, infrastructure investors, developers, utility and RTO decision makers, community members and engineering leadership. They do not need an explainer on why AI needs power. They need a point of view on questions they are already arguing about internally. The hardest part of this job is holding a technical subject and writing about it with an actual position. If your portfolio is mostly consumer or lifestyle work, this is probably not a fit. If you have covered energy, utilities, infrastructure, industrials, heavy manufacturing or enterprise technology. Working conditions worth knowing up front This is category-level thought leadership. You will not be writing about our specific projects, sites or the communities around them. Those carry separate communications tracks with their own approval gates. Content moves through a defined review path and there are publishing blackout windows you will be given without explanation. If tight guardrails frustrate you, this will not be an enjoyable engagement. Remote, US time zones preferred. Weekly 30-minute check-in, async otherwise. Full brief provided to shortlisted candidates. NDA required.
