Summary

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and creative Social Media Virtual Assistant to help manage the online presence for the Vegas Social & Adventure Network (VSAN), a growing Las Vegas community that organizes sports, outdoor activities, social events, food outings, movies, nightlife, golf, and other experiences. Our community includes hundreds of members and activities such as: 🎾 Tennis 🏓 Pickleball 🥾 Hiking 🏐 Volleyball ⛳ Golf 🍽️ Foodie meetups 🎬 Movies 🎶 Nightlife & entertainment 🎯 Adventures and experiences IMPORTANT: This is not a full-time social media management position. We already have established systems, event calendars, photos, videos, branding direction, and SOPs. We are not looking for someone to spend hours every day creating content or trying to make us go viral. The goal is simple: Maintain a consistent, professional, active social media presence that shows people what our community is doing and makes it easy for new people to discover and join us. Primary Responsibilities You will primarily help manage: Instagram Facebook Page Facebook Group, when applicable Most content can and should be reused across platforms. Instagram You will help with: Creating approximately 2 quality feed posts per week Posting Stories approximately 2–4 days per week Creating approximately 2 simple Reels per month Creating photo carousels from meetup photos Posting event recap content Promoting selected upcoming events Sharing member-generated content when appropriate Maintaining Instagram Highlights Updating the “This Week” Highlight Replacing outdated Highlight photos/videos with better and newer content Keeping Highlight categories organized Writing short, natural captions Adding appropriate location tags, venue tags, and hashtags Responding to basic comments and DMs using our approved procedures We currently expect Highlights to include categories such as: Start Here Join Us This Week Tennis Pickleball Hiking Volleyball Foodies Nightlife Movies Golf Adventures You will receive detailed instructions regarding what belongs in each Highlight and when older content should be removed or replaced. Facebook When appropriate, Instagram content should be reused for Facebook rather than recreated from scratch. Responsibilities may include: Cross-posting event recap content Posting photos and short videos Posting Reels Promoting upcoming events Updating the Facebook Page Helping maintain our Facebook Group Responding to basic questions Directing people to our website/community when they ask how to join Content Creation We will usually provide the raw material. This may include: Event photos Short videos Event information Google Calendar information Existing graphics Community announcements Previous captions SOPs Branding guidelines Your job is to turn this material into simple, polished social media content efficiently. We do NOT expect elaborate video production. For example, a Reel might simply consist of: 3–8 short event clips Basic text overlay Music VSAN/community identification A simple call to action A Reel should not normally take hours to produce. Very Important: Efficiency We specifically want someone who understands how to work efficiently. We do NOT want someone who believes: “More posts = better.” We would rather have: 2 good posts + a few useful Stories each week than: 7 mediocre posts created just to meet a posting quota. You should be comfortable: Reusing content Cross-posting Using templates Using Canva Using simple Reel templates Organizing photos and videos Working from SOPs Following a content calendar Completing recurring tasks without needing constant reminders What We Are Looking For The ideal person is: Extremely reliable Organized Detail-oriented Good at following written SOPs Comfortable working independently Experienced with Instagram Experienced with Facebook Comfortable with Canva Comfortable creating simple Instagram Reels Able to identify good photos and videos Able to write natural English captions Able to proofread dates, times, locations, and event information Able to maintain consistent branding Comfortable using Google Drive Comfortable using Google Sheets Comfortable using Google Calendar Able to communicate clearly when something genuinely requires clarification You do not need to be an advanced graphic designer or professional video editor. One of the Most Important Requirements We do not want excessive back-and-forth. You will receive detailed SOPs and examples. We want someone who can: Read the instructions carefully. Follow the established system. Look at previous examples. Make reasonable decisions independently. Ask questions when something is genuinely unclear. We do not want someone asking for approval on every minor decision after the process has already been established. At the same time, you must know when something does require approval, such as a new policy, pricing change, sensitive issue, complaint, or major change to our branding. Attention to Detail Is Extremely Important Our events have specific: Dates Days of the week Times Locations Prices RSVP procedures You must verify information before posting. Posting incorrect event information is a serious mistake. Our Google Calendar and approved event information will normally serve as your source of truth. Expected Time Commitment This is a small ongoing part-time role. We are looking for someone who can maintain the accounts efficiently rather than someone trying to create unnecessary work. The workload may vary depending on how many events we hold, but this should be a manageable recurring VA assignment rather than a full-time social media position. There may be opportunities for additional VA/community-management work for the right person. Preferred Experience Please mention if you have experience with: Instagram business/professional accounts Instagram Stories Instagram Highlights Instagram Reels Facebook Pages Facebook Groups Meta Business Suite Canva CapCut Google Drive Google Calendar Social media scheduling tools Community organizations Meetup/event organizations Sports or lifestyle brands How to Apply Please answer the following questions in your proposal: 1. What social media accounts have you personally managed? Please describe what you were responsible for. 2. Tell us about your experience with Instagram Stories, Reels, carousels, and Highlights. 3. What tools do you normally use to create simple social media content? 4. Approximately how long would you expect it to take you to create a simple 15–30 second Reel if we provide the photos/videos and basic direction? 5. If we give you 30 photos from an event, how would you decide which photos should go into an Instagram carousel? 6. How would you keep Instagram active without unnecessarily creating too much content or spending excessive time on the account? 7. Please provide 2–3 examples of social media accounts, posts, graphics, or Reels you have personally worked on. Attention Check 🍍 At the very beginning of your proposal, write: 🍍 Pineapple — I read the entire job description. If this is not at the beginning of your proposal, we will assume you did not read the instructions. Please do not simply send us a generic proposal. We are especially interested in applicants who explain briefly why they would be a good fit for a community like VSAN and how they would keep the workload efficient.
