Software Engineer — Holland — LUNARTECH Company Description LUNARTECH is a Texas-based, globally operated AI deep-tech company focused on building people, products, and production-grade systems for the AI era. Our work spans AI applications, software platforms, automation, voice and language technologies, data-intensive systems, developer tools, and enterprise products. LUNARTECH has worked with Fortune 500 organizations, trained thousands of learners worldwide through its educational programs, and built products used internationally. Our work and programs have been featured by Forbes, Benzinga, Yahoo, and other major outlets, and LUNARTECH has received the European Union Seal of Excellence. We are expanding our engineering network in the Netherlands and are looking for software engineers who want to work on ambitious products, strengthen their engineering skills, and take increasing ownership as they grow. **Role Description** The **Software Engineer — Holland — LUNARTECH** role is designed for engineers who already have a solid software development foundation and want to gain deeper experience working on real products and production systems. You do not need to have worked at a major technology company to apply. Experience at organizations such as **Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Apple, or other strong technology companies and startups** is valuable, but it is not a requirement. We are equally interested in engineers who have developed their experience through startups, internships, university projects, open-source work, freelance projects, personal products, or previous software engineering positions. You will work alongside engineers and technical teams on LUNARTECH products, contributing to backend services, APIs, databases, internal tools, AI applications, integrations, infrastructure, and production software. Day-to-day responsibilities may include developing new features, improving existing systems, fixing bugs, writing and reviewing code, working with APIs and databases, testing software, participating in technical discussions, and helping deploy and maintain applications. As your experience grows, you will have opportunities to take ownership of increasingly important systems and technical projects. **Qualifications** Candidates should have a good foundation in **software development and programming** and should be comfortable writing, reading, testing, and debugging code. Experience with at least one modern programming language is expected. This may include **Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, C++, C#, Rust, or similar languages**. Candidates should have familiarity with some of the following areas: * Backend or full-stack software development * APIs and web services * SQL or NoSQL databases * Git and collaborative development * Linux and command-line environments * Cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure * Docker or containerized applications * Testing and debugging * Data structures and basic software architecture You are not expected to be an expert in all of these areas. Professional software engineering experience is beneficial, but we are also open to **strong junior and early-career engineers** who have demonstrated practical ability through substantial projects, internships, open-source contributions, research, or independent development. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline is useful but **not mandatory**. Demonstrated engineering ability and the capacity to learn quickly matter more. Experience with AI applications, machine learning infrastructure, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, or data-intensive applications is an advantage but not required. **Who We Are Looking For** We are looking for people who genuinely enjoy building software. You should be curious, technically capable, comfortable learning unfamiliar technologies, and willing to take responsibility for the work you contribute. You should be able to ask good questions, investigate problems independently, communicate clearly, and collaborate with other engineers. You do not need to arrive knowing everything. We are particularly interested in engineers who have strong fundamentals, learn quickly, and want an environment where they can work on increasingly difficult engineering problems over time. Whether your background comes from **a major technology company, a startup, a university, an internship, open source, or your own projects**, we encourage you to apply if you believe you can build good software and want to keep becoming a stronger engineer. **Location:** Netherlands / Holland **Work Model:** Remote / Hybrid depending on project **Function:** Software Engineering **Company:** LUNARTECH
