# U.S. Software / AI Patent Attorney Needed – AI Ecommerce SaaS Platform ## Project Overview I am developing a new SaaS platform called **SAGE**, an AI-powered operating system/AI employee for ecommerce merchants. Development is preparing to begin, and I am looking for an experienced **U.S. patent attorney who is registered to practice before the USPTO** to help determine which parts of the platform may be patentable and develop the appropriate IP strategy before the product is publicly launched. I understand that not everything will necessarily be patentable. I specifically want someone who will tell me **what is and is not worth pursuing**, rather than encouraging unnecessary filings. ## Initial Scope For the first engagement, I would like: 1. Confidential review of my current SAGE product/technical documentation. 2. Discussion with me to fully understand the invention and intended architecture. 3. Preliminary patentability assessment. 4. Prior-art/patent search focused on the strongest potential inventions. 5. Identification of which specific mechanisms/workflows, if any, appear worth protecting. 6. Advice regarding utility patent strategy and whether a provisional application should be filed before further development/public disclosure. 7. Recommendations for documenting the invention as development begins. 8. Estimated cost and strategy for any recommended provisional and eventual nonprovisional application. If appropriate after the initial assessment, I would like to continue working with the same attorney on preparing and filing the patent application(s). ## REQUIRED Qualifications Please apply only if you: * Are a U.S.-licensed attorney. * Are currently registered to practice before the **USPTO**. * Can provide your **USPTO registration number** for verification. * Have meaningful experience with **software/SaaS patents**. * Have experience with **AI/machine-learning or computer-implemented inventions**. * Understand software patent eligibility and prior-art analysis. * Personally perform or closely supervise the substantive patent work.
