About RIVALRY RIVALRY is a sports debate and storytelling YouTube channel. We cover the biggest rivalries, controversies, legends, failures, rankings, and defining moments across the NFL, NBA, soccer, MLB, and beyond — content built to spark arguments, not just recap plays. RIVALRY is: ● Opinionated, fast-paced, and built for debate ● Story-driven — dynasties, rivalries, collapses, redemption arcs ● Edited to hold full-video retention from hook to final take RIVALRY is not: ● A highlights channel ● ESPN-style news coverage ● A podcast with gameplay footage playing in the background Content Pillars Best vs Worst · Most Loved vs Most Hated · GOAT vs FRAUD · Historic Rivalries · Sports History · Dynasty vs Underdog Stories · Greatest Comebacks · Biggest Busts · Most Hated Athletes · Legendary Teams and Players The Role ●1–2 long-form videos per week (10–20 min) ●1 Short every single day (7/week) — clipped from long-form or built as standalone hooks ●Full post-production: pacing, sound design, motion graphics, subtitles, retention editing Requirements ●Strong long-form YouTube storytelling and editing skills ●Fast-paced, retention-first editing (new visual every 2–4 seconds) ●Motion graphics / animated elements — stat overlays, comparison graphics, title cards ●Can source supporting clips, photos, and stats, not just cut what's handed to you ●Solid grasp of YouTube retention mechanics (hooks, pacing, drop-off points) ●Real long-form editing experience — not just Shorts/Reels ●Sports literacy across NFL, NBA, Soccer, and MLB — enough to get a rivalry or a player's story without heavy hand-holding ●Can reliably turn around a daily Short without quality dropping off Bonus Skills ●Sports-broadcast-style graphics (score bugs, stat cards, bracket/tier overlays) ●Color grading and sound design (impacts, crowd/stadium audio, risers) ●Knows where to source licensed highlight clips or stock sports footage ●Follows a second league beyond the big four (tennis, F1, combat sports, college) ●Editing Style References ●We want a blend of two proven approaches, translated to sports: Channel: Study This!!
