Square Space Expert Wanted

Squarespace Specialist Precision Website Refinement, SEO-Safe Restructure & Tracking Setup Zephyr and Stone is an Australian home design education brand (renovation, kitchens, bathrooms, laundries) with an established blog and course offering. We need a proven Squarespace specialist for a focused, fast-turnaround engagement. This is a precision job, not a large rebuild. Our site is currently simple and is moving into an even more simplified structure — fewer pages, tighter navigation, cleaner experience. The work is exacting rather than voluminous: every change needs to be right, protect what's already working (SEO, backlinks), and be done fast. Timeline: 2.5 weeks. Start date: ASAP, ideally Monday 24 August 2026. Please only apply if you can commit to starting within this window. The requirement (non-negotiable) Extensive, provable experience on Squarespace specifically — not a general web developer who has "also used Squarespace." We need deep, current, hands-on platform knowledge: what it can and can't do, where its constraints live, and how to work precisely within them. If your experience is mostly on other platforms with occasional Squarespace work, please don't apply. What we're doing - Simplifying and tightening the existing page structure (this is a reduction, not an expansion, of scope and volume) - Overhauling site navigation and footer for clarity and findability - Customising the blog experience, including dynamic pop-up marketing messages triggered per blog post/category - Embedding video (social, Circle.so, or other formats — to be scoped together) - Integrating our community and course platform, Circle.so, into the site experience - A visual and UX refresh — precise and considered, not a ground-up redesign - Copy updates delivered alongside the structural changes - Rebuilding tracking properly across the site, with Google Tag Manager (GTM) as a hard requirement, feeding into GA4 - Setting up on-site behavioural data capture in a structure that makes it straightforward to connect to HubSpot in a phase 2 (the CRM connection itself is not part of this engagement — the requirement is that today's setup doesn't create rework when we do it) - Supporting our concurrent move from Zapier to n8n — flagging any Squarespace-side triggers or webhooks affected by the switch, without needing to own the n8n build itself. Our current stack (for context) - Squarespace, Commerce Advanced plan (Code Injection, Code Blocks and CSS/JS overrides) - Circle.so for courses and community - Automation moving from Zapier to n8n during this engagement - Current CRM: Kajabi What you need to bring - Platform expertise - Deep, current Squarespace experience (7.1, Fluid Engine), fluent in what's achievable through Code Injection, Code Blocks and CSS/JS overrides on a Commerce Advanced plan - A precise, disciplined approach to page consolidation — this is about doing less, better, not building more - SEO protection through restructure (must be demonstrable, not just claimed) - A clear, repeatable methodology for URL and redirect mapping (301s) when pages are consolidated or removed - Experience preserving rankings and organic traffic through a page restructure — able to show before/after Search Console data from a past project - Understanding of canonical tags, sitemaps, and how Squarespace's URL and collection structure affects crawlability Backlink protection - A process for auditing existing inbound backlinks before touching URL structure, so link equity isn't lost in the simplification Tracking - Strong, current GTM and GA4 implementation experience — this is a requirement, not a nice-to-have. Proper event and conversion setup, not reliance on Squarespace's default tracking - Awareness of how automation platform changes (Zapier to n8n) can affect existing site-side triggers, even if the migration itself sits outside your scope - Circle.so integration experience is a strong plus Working style - A strong visual eye — able to execute a design direction faithfully and flag early if something won't translate cleanly to the platform - High accountability on a tight timeline — this is a 2.5-week job, so we need someone who flags risk early, not after the fact - Comfortable raising flags, asking sharp questions, and moving at pace without needing everything spelled out What would make you stand out - Recent Squarespace projects (not years-old case studies) showing precise, surgical restructuring rather than full rebuilds - Before/after Search Console or ranking data from a past URL consolidation - GTM/GA4 setups you can walk us through - Experience with Circle.so or similar community/course platforms embedded into Squarespace Scope and logistics - Engagement type: Fixed price - Timeline: 2.5 weeks, starting Monday 24 August 2026 - Location/timezone: Open to remote but we need solid overlap with AEST business hours for collaboration during active build phases
