Summary

Please do not apply to the role without the following (detailed deck + link to Figma) About the Role We are looking for a Staff / Lead Product Designer to own the end-to-end design strategy and execution for our AI agents and intelligent assistants. In this role, you will define how humans interact with complex, autonomous AI systems—translating cutting-edge capability into intuitive, transparent, and trustworthy user experiences. As a Staff/Lead designer, you will set the vision, map complex agentic behaviors, and establish design patterns for multi-modal workflows, automated decision-making, confidence handling, and human-in-the-loop interactions. You will lead projects from foundational research through final UI implementation, establishing best practices for edge cases, error recovery, and systemic scalability. What You’ll Do End-to-End Ownership: Lead the complete UX/UI architecture for AI agents, from early strategy, user research, and interaction modeling to high-fidelity UI and system-level edge cases. Define AI Interaction Patterns: Design transparent interfaces for complex agent concepts, including confidence thresholds, fallback behavior, loading/partial states, human overrides, and permission structures. Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with AI/ML engineers, product managers, and leadership to evaluate technical feasibility, model constraints, and product capabilities. Systemic Craft: Build scalable Figma design systems, interaction frameworks, and state matrices that adapt as underlying AI capabilities evolve. What We’re Looking For Proven Track Record: Senior, Lead, or Staff-level experience designing complex B2B, SaaS, or AI-driven systems. AI Expertise: Deep understanding of agentic workflows, conversational/voice interfaces, human-in-the-loop mechanics, and handling system uncertainty. Deep Craft & Rigor: Ability to map out dense screen logic, detailed edge cases, error states, and multi-step conversational flows. Strategic Communication: Strong ability to articulate design rationale, research insights, and trade-offs to engineering and business stakeholders. Mandatory Application Requirements To be considered for this role, you MUST submit both a complete project deck AND a link to a working Figma file with cleanly labeled screens and organized assets showcasing a real-world AI agent or assistant project. Applications missing either of these deliverables will not be evaluated. Your submission must include all of the following components: 1. Comprehensive Project Deck: Project Background & Context: Business goals, scope, and technical capabilities/constraints of the AI agent. Problem Statement: The core user friction, operational challenges, or trust deficits the agent was built to solve. User Research & Insights: Key findings, user behaviors, and mental models around AI adoption or automation. User Personas & Journey Maps: Primary user types, their goals, and where human intervention/oversight is needed. Solution & Architecture: System architecture, interaction logic, confidence thresholds, and handoff flows (AI-to-Human / Human-to-AI). Final Screens & High-Fidelity UI: Polished interface designs showing the happy path and primary workflows. Iterations & Trade-offs: Wireframes, early concepts, and key design decisions made along the way. Edge Cases, Error States & Recovery: Handling model latency, partial results, low-confidence outputs, errors, system overrides, and escalation. 2. Figma File (Direct Link Required): Clean Structure: Well-organized pages, frames, auto-layout setups, and component logic. Labeled Screens & Assets: All layers, design tokens, component variants, and state matrices clearly labeled. System Logic: Visible demonstration of how state variations (loading, empty, low confidence, failure, escalation) are structured for production handoff.
