Staff/Principal Infrastructure and Security Engineer

Staff/Principal Infrastructure and Security Engineer I am looking for a Staff- or Principal-level engineer to architect secure, high-performance distributed infrastructure for an early-stage technology product. You should have production experience building network proxies, gateways, service meshes or distributed security infrastructure in Go and/or Rust. Strong candidates will understand workload and non-human identity, zero-trust authorization, mTLS, PKI, OAuth/OIDC, SPIFFE/SPIRE, policy engines and secure multi-tenant systems. Experience with Envoy Proxy, xDS, WASM filters, Kubernetes, eBPF, OPA, Cedar or Zanzibar-style authorization is highly relevant. Familiarity with MCP and emerging AI-agent protocols is preferred, but deep identity and networking experience is more important than prior MCP experience. Ideal backgrounds include Cloudflare, Tailscale, Teleport, Pomerium, Tetrate, Solo.io, Kong, HashiCorp, Okta/Auth0, WorkOS, Authzed or major Envoy/Istio/SPIFFE projects.
