Static Pool Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Static Pool Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis and be proficient in SAS. Responsibilities include analyzing data sets, developing algorithms, and providing insights to support business decisions. Your work will help us predict portfolio performance, identify early warning signals, and optimize lending strategies. By transforming raw loan data into actionable insights, you’ll directly influence how capital is allocated and safeguarded. What You'll Do • Conduct detailed static pool analyses on loan, mortgage, or asset-backed securities portfolios to assess performance over time. • Build and maintain data models to track delinquency, default, and prepayment trends across vintages. • Collaborate with risk, finance, and product teams to translate findings into strategic recommendations. • Develop dashboards and visualizations (e.g., in Tableau, Power BI, or Python) to communicate portfolio health to stakeholders. • Ensure data integrity by performing quality checks and reconciling discrepancies with source systems. • Support stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate portfolio resilience under varying economic conditions. What You'll Bring • Proven experience in credit risk analytics, portfolio management, or securitization. • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one analytical tool (Python, R, SAS, or similar). • Familiarity with static pool analysis methodologies and key performance metrics (e.g., cumulative loss curves, vintage analysis). • Ability to interpret complex datasets and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. • A detail-oriented mindset with a passion for uncovering patterns and trends in financial data.
