Story Board Graphic Designer, Image Editor Artistic Director

We're looking for a highly creative graphic designer, illustrator, or visual art director to help refine the artwork for an illustrated novel. We already have approximately **40 AI-generated illustrations**, and the goal is **not to create images from scratch**, but to serve as an artistic editor who can make the entire collection feel like it was created by one artist. ### What You'll Do * Review approximately 40 AI-generated images. * Ensure all illustrations share a consistent artistic style, color palette, lighting, mood, and level of detail. * Modify and enhance images where necessary using Photoshop, AI tools, or other editing software. * Recommend improvements to composition, perspective, facial expressions, backgrounds, and visual storytelling. * Maintain continuity of recurring characters, clothing, environments, and visual themes throughout the novel. * Act as a creative/artistic director for the visual side of the project. * Deliver polished, publication-quality illustrations ready for inclusion in the book. ### Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who has: * Exceptional artistic taste and visual storytelling ability. * Experience working with AI-generated artwork (Midjourney, ChatGPT Images, Flux, Stable Diffusion, etc.). * Strong Photoshop or image editing skills. * Experience with color grading, lighting, and maintaining visual consistency across a series of illustrations. * A portfolio demonstrating strong artistic judgment—not just technical design skills. * Experience with book illustrations, comics, graphic novels, concept art, fantasy, or cinematic artwork is a major plus. ### Deliverables * Approximately 40 edited illustrations with a unified visual style. * Consistent appearance of characters throughout the project. * Color, lighting, and composition adjustments where appropriate. * Suggestions for any images that should be regenerated or significantly improved. * Final high-resolution image files suitable for publication. ### To Apply Please include: * A link to your portfolio. * Examples of AI-generated images you've enhanced or art-directed. * A brief explanation of how you would approach making dozens of independently generated AI images look like they belong in the same illustrated novel. * Your estimated timeline and fixed-price or hourly rate.
