Story Producer/Culture Researcher for YouTube

We're an independent documentary channel on YouTube with 250k subscribers. We make long-form films about culture — music, film, and the money and power shaping what everyone watches. We believe our culture is being manufactured by private equity, algorithms and other forces, and with our channel we want to push back. We're looking for a freelance Story Producer / Culture Researcher: someone who brings us stories and then helps us research them. Together, we'll turn that research into scripts. We want someone with a real point of view on culture, not just a fact-checker. We're a young team that wants to make waves on YouTube, so there's plenty of room to grow with us. We're looking for someone with a background in culture journalism, documentary research or development, podcast and radio documentaries, or investigative reporting.
