Subrogation Consultant | US Auto P&C | Remote

Summary

We're an early-stage company building technology for insurance subrogation recovery. As we build out the product, we want to deeply understand how this work is actually done today — from people who've done it for years. This is not a traditional insurance position. We're hiring your expertise for structured conversation and document walkthrough. What we'll do together: Walk through the end-to-end auto subrogation workflow as you ran it: file review, liability analysis, demand package assembly, negotiation with opposing carriers, and arbitration practice Review sample or redacted demand packages and discuss what separates strong files from weak ones Talk honestly about how files get prioritized — and how and why recoverable files fall through the cracks Map the tools and systems you used (claims platforms, Arbitration Forums / E-Subro Hub, estimating tools) Who we're looking for: 5+ years of hands-on US subrogation experience at a carrier, TPA, or subrogation law firm — auto physical damage strongly preferred Direct experience preparing demands and negotiating inter-carrier recoveries Familiarity with intercompany arbitration through Arbitration Forums, Inc. (filing and/or responding) — a strong plus Ability to explain your craft clearly to a technical team; teaching instincts matter here CPCU, AIC, ARM, or similar designation a plus but not required Currently or recently working as a Subrogation Specialist, Recovery Analyst, Subrogation Adjuster, Claims Examiner, or Subrogation Team Lead? You're who we want to hear from — including if you're between roles or retired. Nice to have: multi-state negligence experience (comparative/contributory regimes); property subro exposure; vendor-management or supervisory experience. Looking ahead: We expect to hire experienced subrogation professionals as we grow. This engagement is scoped and paid on its own terms — but consultants who work with us will be first in line when those roles open. To apply: Please send a short note on your subro background — lines handled, shops worked, years of experience, and whether you've filed at AF.
