Support Engineer: Monitoring for Two Live SaaS Products (Firebase / GCP / Vue.js)
Worldwide
We're a logistics technology company running two live SaaS products serving enterprise customers in the drayage/freight space. We're looking for a reliable support engineer to handle day-to-day tickets, bug fixes, and system monitoring under the direction of our senior lead engineer. Our senior engineer handles the complex builds and infrastructure — you keep the day-to-day running smoothly. WHAT YOU'LL DO Triage and resolve customer-reported issues and support tickets daily Fix bugs across two production Vue.js / Firebase applications Monitor system health: check logs, verify scraper runs, confirm email delivery, spot errors Investigate and resolve auth edge cases, caching issues, and data inconsistencies Test fixes in staging and coordinate deployments through our PR review process Communicate status updates clearly — what you worked on, what's blocked, what needs attention Escalate complex issues to the senior engineer with clear context on what you've already tried WHAT YOU WON'T DO You won't be designing architecture or making infrastructure decisions You won't be deploying to production without review You won't need to figure things out alone — there's a senior engineer and full documentation THE STACK Vue.js 3 (Composition API) + TypeScript — both frontends Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Hosting, Extensions) — core backend Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Logs Explorer) — infrastructure Redis — caching and entitlement management Stripe — subscriptions and webhooks Puppeteer — PDF generation SendGrid — transactional email GitHub Actions — CI/CD MUST HAVE Production experience with Firebase and Firestore (not just tutorials) Vue.js experience (Vue 2 or 3) TypeScript Comfortable reading and debugging code you didn't write Can follow written processes and documentation independently Strong written communication — daily status updates are required Reliable and responsive during US Central Time business hours NICE TO HAVE GCP experience (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Logs Explorer) Stripe webhook debugging Redis basics Experience working under a senior/lead engineer on a small team DETAILS 20-30 hours/week Must be available and responsive during US Central Time business hours Budget: $15-20/hr depending on experience and location Fully remote Minimum 2 month engagement Start: Within 1-2 weeks You will report to our senior lead engineer who will assign tasks and review your work
