Sync Product/Pricing/Inventory from On-Prem ERP (DDI Advantive) into Existing OpenCart

We're a distribution business (PPE / industrial supplies, ~5,000 SKUs, 2 locations) running our ERP — DDI Inform (Advantive) — self-hosted on our own on-premise server. We have a live OpenCart website (norcalgloves.com) with checkout currently disabled — it's browse-only, customers call/email to order. We need a developer to build a sync process that pulls product, pricing, and inventory data from our ERP and updates our existing OpenCart catalog. This is NOT a rebuild — the site and platform stay as-is; we just need it kept current. Scope: • Build a daily/nightly sync job (real-time is NOT required) pulling product data, pricing, and stock levels from DDI Inform (Advantive) via its database or export/API layer • Update the existing OpenCart product catalog (via OpenCart's CSV import, admin API, or direct DB writes — developer's call based on what's most reliable) • Handle mapping ~5,000 SKUs cleanly, including images/descriptions if available in DDI • Document the sync architecture and data flow so we (non-technical team) can maintain/monitor it going forward • Ideally something that survives DDI support-rep turnover — i.e., doesn't depend on tribal knowledge only DDI holds Not in scope: checkout/payments, real-time inventory sync, redesigning the site or ERP, changing platforms. Ideal experience: • Prior work integrating with Advantive/DDI Inform, or similar mid-market/legacy distribution ERPs (Epicor Prophet 21, SAP B1, NetSuite, etc.) • Experience with on-premise/self-hosted database access (likely SQL Server) rather than pure cloud API integrations • Solid OpenCart experience — its product data model, CSV import format, and/or its REST API • Comfortable working with a non-technical client — clear communication, milestone-based delivery, no black-box code
