TEDx, Speaking & Book PR Outreach Specialist

Seeking an experienced TEDx, speaking, and book PR outreach specialist to support an established author, founder, podcast host, and content creator with 500K+ followers across social media. The author has been featured in Newsweek twice and has a traditionally published book releasing in January 2027 with a global publisher. The primary focus will be identifying and pursuing legitimate TEDx and speaking opportunities, beginning in Iowa and the Midwest and expanding nationally. This includes researching upcoming TEDx events, identifying open speaker applications, tracking deadlines and themes, assisting with customized applications, and managing the entire application and outreach pipeline. The second focus will be book PR and media outreach, including identifying and pitching high-quality podcasts, media outlets, journalists, conferences, wellness/fitness platforms, and other opportunities aligned with the author's expertise and upcoming book. We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in TEDx applications, speaker booking, author publicity, media outreach, and/or PR. Experience working with traditionally published nonfiction authors is a major plus. Please include specific examples of TEDx talks, speaking engagements, podcast appearances, or media placements you have helped secure, along with a brief explanation of your role. This is not a paid-placement opportunity. We are looking for someone who understands legitimate earned media and TEDx outreach and can take ownership of research, applications, pitching, follow-up, and tracking.
