Tax Preparer (CPA or Enrolled Agent)

Description: We are hiring an experienced CPA or senior tax preparer to complete a defined set of 2025 tax year returns filed on extension. Ideally this becomes a long-term relationship — you become our preparer year after year. - 8 returns in total - All prior year returns filed on time and books professionally kept - Looking for a fixed bid for the total project This is a time-sensitive, temporary engagement with a clear and defined scope. The extended filing deadlines fall in September–October 2026. 📋 Scope of Work: Prepare and file the following 2025 tax year returns: - Individual — Form 1040 (1): Married filing jointly. Extended, due 10/15/2026. - Corporate — Form 1120 (4): Extensions filed; due 10/15/2026. Entities span Wyoming, California, and Delaware. One is a final return (entity being dissolved). - Partnership — Form 1065 (3): Extensions were not filed, so these are past-due and need to be prepared and filed to bring the entities current. All three had no profit/loss activity for the year (we expect little to no penalty given zero income). One is a final return with the entity being closed. Entities in California and Wyoming. ✅ Requirements: - Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation - Demonstrated expertise with 1040, 1120, and 1065 filings, including final returns and dissolutions - Experience with multi-state entities (CA, WY, DE) and comfort handling past-due/delinquent partnership returns - Detail-oriented and highly reliable — must meet the 2026 extended filing deadlines - Proficient in tax prep software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax, ProSeries, etc.) - Available to begin immediately 📟 Compensation: This is a short-term contract engagement to start, with the goal of an ongoing year-after-year relationship.
