Technical Cofounder - Staff/Principal+ AI/ML Systems Engineer with Backend & LLM Evals

Hello, I hope you are having a great weekend! I am looking for a technical cofounder to build Outhenta, an AI-powered hiring platform designed to help employers evaluate software engineers through verified work evidence, adaptive interviews, and realistic job-related assessments-not résumés and credentials alone. You will lead the development of Outhenta from the ground up, owning the technical architecture, AI/ML systems, backend infrastructure, and engineering roadmap. A central part of your role will be building controlled AI interview workflows that generate relevant questions, ask evidence-seeking follow-ups, evaluate responses against role-specific rubrics, and produce transparent reports in which conclusions are traceable to candidate evidence. The ideal person is a Staff-level or higher applied AI/ML systems engineer with strong backend engineering and deep experience evaluating production LLM systems. You should understand structured generation, retrieval and grounding, conversational AI, human-in-the-loop workflows, model benchmarking, reliability testing, uncertainty, bias monitoring, and prompt-injection defenses. You should also be capable of designing secure APIs, data pipelines, databases, permissions, audit trails, and evaluation infrastructure. You do not need to have worked in hiring technology, but you should be interested in developing fair, evidence-based assessment systems and validating AI-generated conclusions against expert and employer judgment. Experience building production AI products, evaluation pipelines, developer tools, assessment platforms, or other high-stakes human-review systems would be especially valuable. This is a genuine cofounder position-not a conventional engineering job. You would shape the product, technical methodology, company strategy, and future engineering team alongside the founder.
