Technical Project Manager
Worldwide
Part-Time Technical Project Manager, Industrial Automation We're an automation controls company serving sawmills, planer mills, and industrial facilities across the western US. We handle everything from controls architecture through commissioning, and we're growing. We're looking for someone to own documentation, coordination, and follow-through on a part-time basis: roughly one hour a day, five days a week, ongoing. What the role looks like: - Maintain project documentation with version control and revision history - Turn project and meeting notes into tracked action items - Build and manage implementation schedules; forecast workload and resource availability - Move conversations forward: follow up on open items, chase responses, keep things from stalling - Review stakeholder feedback and ensure no detail gets lost between discussion and execution - Keep our task management system current What you'd bring: - Familiarity with ERP systems (especially sales workflows: quotes, proposals, invoicing) - Experience with task and project management platforms - Understanding of software development and construction-type project workflows - Ability to read schematics and drawings, and an understanding of how design and engineering workflows move from concept to installed system - Document control and revision tracking as a real practice, not just a line on a resume - Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or controls integration projects (you should understand how quotes, proposals, and change orders flow through a project) - Strong written communication: most of this role lives in writing - Pacific Time availability for daily coordination Bonus points: PLC/HMI project lifecycle familiarity (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Automation Direct), forest products or lumber background, Spanish. About how we work: We're a progressive company focused on product development. AI-integrated workflows are part of how we operate daily. If that's already your world, great. If not, we're looking for someone genuinely eager to learn fast and work that way with us. Boundaries (so you know what you're signing up for): You wouldn't write PLC code or design panels. Client relationships and change order pricing stay in-house. Commitment: 4–5 hrs/week. Two-week trial before any longer engagement.
