We partner with public sector agencies and prime contractors to deliver enterprise technology solutions for federal, state, county, and municipal organizations. We're expanding our proposal team and are seeking an experienced Technical Proposal Writer to help develop high-quality, compliant government proposals. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced technical writer who understands government procurement and can transform technical information into compelling proposal content. The ideal candidate has experience writing responses for government RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and IFBs involving technology services. This is not a copywriting position. We need someone comfortable working alongside solution architects, cybersecurity engineers, infrastructure specialists, and project managers. Responsibilities Analyze RFPs and solicitation documents Develop compliance matrices Write technical proposal responses Draft executive summaries Write management and implementation approaches Develop staffing and organizational narratives Prepare transition and project management plans Write risk management and quality assurance sections Collaborate with technical SMEs Convert technical discussions into evaluator-friendly content Maintain proposal templates and reusable content Ensure proposals are fully compliant with solicitation requirements Participate in proposal reviews (Pink Team, Red Team, Gold Team) Preferred Experience Experience responding to proposals involving: IT Modernization Cloud Migration Microsoft Azure Microsoft 365 Cybersecurity Zero Trust Identity & Access Management Infrastructure Modernization Enterprise Networking CJIS NIST CMMC AI Governance Data Center Modernization Managed Services Help Desk Project Management Justice/Public Safety Systems ERP/CRM Implementations Qualifications Required: 3+ years of government proposal writing experience Experience with Federal, State, or Local Government RFPs Excellent Microsoft Word formatting skills Strong grammar and technical writing ability Ability to manage multiple deadlines Experience working with proposal teams Strong communication skills Preferred: APMP Certification PMP Certification IT background Cybersecurity knowledge Microsoft technology experience CJIS experience NIST familiarity CMMC familiarity Tools Experience with: Microsoft Word Microsoft Teams SharePoint Excel Adobe Acrobat Microsoft Copilot (preferred) Proposal management tools (Loopio, RFPIO, GovWin, or similar) What Success Looks Like You'll help produce professional, compliant proposals that clearly communicate our technical capabilities and increase our chances of winning government contracts.
