Technical Writer Needed: Turn Structural Engineering Calcs into Clear Customer PDFs

Lives in Dome Home in the woods We already have professional structural engineering drawings and full LRFD calculation sets from a licensed engineer for our 12×40 model. We need someone who can take these complex technical documents and turn them into clear, professional, customer-friendly PDF guides. The goal is to create documents that: Explain the engineering in plain English so normal customers and contractors can understand it Still remain accurate and useful for local engineers reviewing for permits Look clean, organized, and professional Include construction sequences, key details, safety explanations, and real project photos We already have: Original engineered drawings and calculation sets Real construction photos A working version of a customer guide (we will share this after NDA) Important: Because this project involves confidential engineered drawings and proprietary design information, selected candidates will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before any engineering documents are shared. What we’re looking for: Strong technical writing ability (simplifying complex information) Experience creating professional PDFs / client-facing documents Good visual organization and layout skills (InDesign preferred) Ability to understand basic structural/architectural drawings This can start as a one-time project and potentially become ongoing work for additional shelter models.
