Template Developer with Advanced AI Skills

We are Added Valuation, a property valuation firm based in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. We are seeking a capable template and workflow developer to improve and expand our existing valuation report templates and help automate manual business processes. We use ValuePRO, proprietary valuation software that integrates with Microsoft Word. The successful candidate will need to learn how templates are developed within ValuePRO and integrated into Word. The role will involve developing new template features, improving existing functionality, automating repetitive processes and helping streamline our reporting workflows. We are looking for a fast learner with advanced practical AI skills who can use tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to assist with research, troubleshooting, problem-solving and template development. We also want someone who can assess our wider workflow, identify inefficient or repetitive manual tasks and recommend or implement practical automation solutions. The position is approximately 20 hours per week, initially for seven months, with the potential to become permanent. We currently employ three full-time team members through Upwork and are looking to continue growing our offshore team. Selection Process: We will not begin reviewing applications until at least 24 hours after this job is posted, so there is no disadvantage in applying immediately or later within that period. We expect to engage approximately 5–10 candidates on a paid trial basis before making a final appointment. Applicants should therefore be prepared to undertake a temporary paid trial, with only one candidate expected to be selected for the ongoing role. The trial will involve real project work and will allow both the applicant and us to determine whether the role is a good fit. Following the trial, we intend to offer the ongoing position to the candidate who demonstrates the strongest combination of technical ability, initiative, communication, ability to learn ValuePRO quickly and effective use of AI to improve our templates, workflows and business processes.
