Test Center Mystery Shop Audit – Aviation Mechanical / A&P Technician Exam (Spring, TX)

We are seeking an individual with a background in aviation maintenance, aircraft mechanics, or mechanical engineering to conduct an in-person secret shop audit at a professional testing center in Spring, Texas. You will pose as a scheduled candidate taking an official Aviation Maintenance Technician (A&P Mechanic) knowledge examination. The testing appointment and exam fees are fully scheduled and paid for by us and no out-of-pocket expenses are required. Because you are evaluating the center during a live testing session, you are expected to actively attempt to answer the questions and try to pass the mechanical test using your technical knowledge while also evaluating the efficiency of the center, infrastructure, and other required areas. Following the session, you will complete a structured checklist and submit a standard Word audit report with required photos within 24 hours. Mechanical Exams Covered: You will be registered for one of the following official aviation mechanical tests: * General (AMG): Foundational mechanics, basic electrical circuits, physics, aircraft technical drawings, weight & balance, materials/hardware, and safety/maintenance records (~60 questions, 2 hours). * Airframe (AMA): Aircraft structural and mechanical systems, including hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, sheet metal fabrication, welding, composites, and structural maintenance (~100 questions, 2 hours). * Powerplant (AMP): Engine mechanics, covering reciprocating/piston engines, turbine/jet engines, carburetors, fuel injection, propellers, lubrication, and exhaust systems (~100 questions, 2 hours). What You’ll Do * Attend the scheduled test appointment at the testing center in Spring, TX. * Sit for the exam and genuinely attempt the mechanical/technical questions. * Observe and evaluate standard test center operations from a candidate's perspective. * Complete an audit checklist covering: * Check-in procedures and staff professionalism * Identity verification, security screening, and locker usage * Testing room environment, workstation conditions, and restrooms * Signage and facility accessibility * Conduct minor, controlled compliance checks (e.g., presenting a phone during check-in to ensure staff instruct you to lock it away, requesting an unscheduled break, observing proctor vigilance). * Take required external/lobby photos (entrance, waiting room, parking, signage—where allowed). * Complete and submit the provided Word report template within 24 hours. Note: These steps are part of an authorized quality assurance audit. Requirements Technical Background: Direct experience, education, or training in Aviation Maintenance (A&P), Aircraft Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Mechanics, or Heavy Machinery/Diesel Repair to understand the technical test concepts. Location: Located in or near Spring, Texas, with reliable local transportation. Device: Smartphone with a clear camera for facility photos.
