QA Tester / Product Testing Partner — Early Bob Pilot

B of Bots (Bob) is looking for a small group of experienced QA testers to help us test and improve an early-stage financial software platform. This is not a traditional full-time QA role. We're looking for people who enjoy getting hands-on with software, finding things that break, and giving clear feedback that actually helps a product get better. What we're looking for You may be a good fit if you: Have experience as a QA tester, software tester, QA engineer, or product tester Are comfortable testing web applications and SaaS products Have a strong eye for bugs, edge cases, and inconsistent behavior Can think beyond simply following test cases Enjoy exploratory testing and trying to break things Can clearly document issues and explain how to reproduce them Are comfortable working independently Experience testing financial, SaaS, business, or productivity software is a plus. What you'll do You'll work directly with the Bob team to test the product from a real user's perspective. This may include: Testing core workflows and user journeys Exploratory testing and edge-case testing Regression testing as new features are released Testing across browsers and devices Identifying confusing or inconsistent user experiences Reproducing and documenting bugs Reviewing fixes and confirming they're actually fixed Giving feedback on usability, not just whether something technically works We're especially interested in testers who naturally ask: "What happens if I do this?" …and then actually try it. Rather than testing a finished product against a rigid checklist, you'll have an opportunity to influence how the product works and help shape the experience before it reaches a much larger user base. This is an initial paid testing engagement, with the possibility of additional testing work as Bob develops. The exact scope and hours will depend on the project and your experience. Who we'd love to meet We're particularly interested in QA testers who have: 2+ years of software QA/testing experience Experience testing SaaS or web applications Strong exploratory and manual testing skills Experience with regression and functional testing Excellent attention to detail Clear written communication The ability to provide concise, actionable bug reports Automation experience is a plus, but manual QA and strong product instincts are more important for this engagement.
