Texas Employment Attorney to Review Part-Time W-2 Healthcare Employment Agreement

We are a small occupational therapy private practice in Texas preparing to hire our first part-time W-2 occupational therapist. We are looking for a Texas-licensed employment attorney to review and revise our existing employment agreement before we begin onboarding. We already have a draft agreement prepared. This is a limited-scope legal review, not a request to draft an employment agreement from scratch. Scope of Review: We would like the attorney to review the agreement for compliance with applicable Texas and federal employment laws and identify any provisions that should be revised, added, or removed. In particular, we would like guidance regarding: * Part-time W-2 employment and agreement language * Compensation structure and wage-and-hour compliance * Different compensation rates during the initial training/onboarding period and for client-facing services after onboarding * How documentation, required meetings, training, cancellations, and other compensable work should be addressed * Timekeeping, recordkeeping, and applicable overtime requirements * At-will employment and termination provisions * Confidentiality, HIPAA, and protection of patient/practice information * Use of practice technology, EHR, and AI-assisted documentation tools * Professional licensure and credentialing requirements * Any non-solicitation, confidentiality, restrictive covenant, or similar provisions included in the agreement * Any other Texas or federal employment-law concerns that should be addressed before hiring Specific compensation rates and the complete employment agreement will be provided privately to the selected attorney. Required Qualifications: * Currently licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas * Experience advising Texas employers on employment law * Experience reviewing or drafting W-2 employment agreements * Strong knowledge of federal and Texas wage-and-hour requirements * Experience advising small businesses Experience representing healthcare or private-practice employers is strongly preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare employment matters is also preferred. Fixed-Price Deliverables: This is a fixed-price project. The proposed fixed fee should include: * Review of our existing employment agreement * Redlined/revised version with recommended changes * Review of the proposed compensation structure for wage-and-hour compliance * Identification of potential Texas and federal employment-law concerns * Recommendations for provisions that should be added, revised, or removed * One brief follow-up consultation to discuss the review and answer questions before the agreement is finalized Please include your total fixed-price quote for the complete scope above in your proposal. Any additional work outside the agreed-upon scope should be discussed and approved separately in advance. This is currently a one-time project, although we may seek additional employment-law consultation as the practice grows.
