TikTok Hook Writer (Written Hooks for Viral Videos)

We're hiring a specialist in writing on-screen and caption hooks for TikTok — the first line that decides whether someone keeps watching or scrolls past. This is a narrow, high-leverage skill: you're not writing full scripts or captions, you're writing the single opening line (or first few seconds of text) that stops the scroll and pulls people in. What you'll do: Write short, punchy hooks designed to maximize watch time and stop-scroll rate Adapt hooks to different content types (music/artist content, entertainment edits, etc.) Use proven hook formulas (curiosity gaps, bold claims, relatable pain points, "wait for it" setups, controversial statements, pattern interrupts) and know when each one fits Deliver hooks in batches, tested/refined based on what's converting Stay current on what hook styles are actually working on TikTok right now — trends shift fast You should have: A strong, demonstrated understanding of TikTok's algorithm and viewer psychology A track record of writing hooks that measurably improved watch time, views, or engagement (please share data or examples) The ability to write hooks in high volume without them feeling repetitive or formulaic Comfort working from a brief (topic, audience, content type) and producing multiple hook variations quickly To apply, please include: 10 example hooks you've written (any niche) — variety is a plus Any data you can share on how those hooks performed (views, watch-through rate, etc.) Your process for coming up with hooks — do you follow a formula, test variations, etc.?
