Title: Accented English Speakers Needed – en-IN / en-FR / en-ES – $11 Category: Audio/Voice Recording, Data Collection Job Description: We're expanding a speech dataset for a language/AI research project and are recruiting speakers across three accents. This is a linguistic diversity requirement for the dataset itself (similar to accent-specific casting for voice-over or dubbing work) — we're not screening applicants by nationality or background, only by how they naturally speak English. We're looking to fill the following speaker slots: Accent Speakers Needed Indian-accented English (en-IN) 48 French-accented English (en-FR) 88 Spanish-accented English (en-ES) 240 Task: Complete one recording session (~7–8 minutes of natural spoken English) Speak naturally in response to a few everyday prompts (no script to memorize), such as: Your daily routine on a typical workday A recent trip or place you'd like to visit Your favorite meal and how it's made A book, show, or movie you enjoyed recently Your neighborhood or hometown A skill or hobby you're currently learning A memorable celebration or gathering Your typical weekend plans The full session must happen in one sitting, in one quiet indoor location, on one device No editing, filtering, or post-processing — the platform captures and submits the audio directly Eligibility: Must currently live in and record from one of the following US states (due to call/audio recording consent laws that vary by state): Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming Not eligible if currently residing in: California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Texas, or Washington Recordings will be used for speech/AI research purposes Please indicate which accent category you fall under (Indian, French, or Spanish-accented English) when applying Submission: Selected applicants will be onboarded to our recording platform (link above), where the session is recorded and submitted directly — no separate file upload needed Pay: $11 fixed price per participant, paid on completion and acceptance of the recording Note: Slots are filled on a rolling basis per accent category until each quota is met — en-ES currently has the most open slots (240), so applicants in that category are especially welcome.
