๐ŸŽฏ Conversion Tracking Specialist โ€” GTM, sGTM/Stape, Offline Conversions (Marketing Agency) We're a marketing consulting agency looking for a tracking implementation specialist to handle conversion tracking and attribution setup for our clients across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. Steady, ongoing work for the right person โ€” and we handle all client communication, so you can focus on the build. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ What you'll actually do: โœ… Implement client-side and server-side Google Tag Manager, including Stape-hosted sGTM containers โœ… Configure enhanced conversions for Google Ads and Microsoft Ads (UET) โœ… Set up offline conversion uploads from client CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, Pipedrive, etc.) โ€” via Google Ads API, Microsoft Ads offline conversions, or Customer Match โœ… Build GA4 event tracking, dataLayer specs, and enhanced e-commerce โœ… Deploy Meta Pixel + Conversions API when relevant โœ… Occasional reporting dashboards (mostly Looker Studio) โœ… Rare, minor site code changes โ€” never anything that touches UI ๐Ÿšซ What you won't do: โŒ Manage ad campaigns (we don't want campaign managers) โŒ Build websites or landing pages โŒ Deal with clients directly ๐Ÿ“‹ Required experience (we'll ask for proof): ๐Ÿ”น GTM + GA4 + dataLayer implementation, ideally on e-commerce sites ๐Ÿ”น Server-side GTM via Stape (or comparable โ€” Cloud Run, self-hosted) ๐Ÿ”น At least one end-to-end offline conversion pipeline with a CRM ๐Ÿ”น Google Ads conversion tracking with proper gclid / gbraid / wbraid handling ๐Ÿ”น Microsoft Ads UET and offline conversion uploads ๐Ÿ”น Comfortable working without a client-side developer โ€” you'll often be the only technical person on the project, so you must be confident implementing in the dataLayer yourself ๐ŸŒŸ Bonus points if you also have: โœจ Experience battling spam โ€” bot filtering in GTM, reCAPTCHA / Cloudflare Turnstile / honeypot setups, keeping junk form submissions out of conversion data โœจ Web security knowledge โ€” Content Security Policy (especially for sGTM), consent management (GDPR/CCPA), cookie governance, securing API keys in tag templates โœจ Comfortable using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, etc.) to ship faster and document your work ๐Ÿ‘ค Who you are: โšก Turns around most projects within 3โ€“4 business days of assignment (no weekends or holidays expected โ€” work/life balance matters here) ๐Ÿ’ฌ Communicates proactively, especially when something in scope looks like it might expand ๐Ÿงน Writes clean, documented code another implementer could read a year from now ๐Ÿ” Anticipates edge cases instead of waiting to be told ๐Ÿค How we work: ๐Ÿ“Œ Monday.com for tasks, Slack for comms, Upwork time tracker required ๐Ÿ“Œ Clear priorities, deadlines, and dependencies โ€” you'll never be guessing ๐ŸŽ Performance bonuses for strong communicators ๐Ÿšท Please don't contact us outside Upwork ๐Ÿ“ To apply, include all three: 1๏ธโƒฃ The word "jujube" somewhere in your cover letter so we know you read this 2๏ธโƒฃ 2โ€“3 work samples covering the range of this stack, with rough hours per project 3๏ธโƒฃ A short answer to this scenario: A client uses Google Ads and HubSpot.
